“Everything tasted good. Scones were fresh. Flavored coffee was great, tid bit too sweet for my taste. I was told they make their own syrup. It wasn't truly clear if it is from scratch, or they simply put their twist on the syrup they buy. The atmosphere is fairly basic and nothing that stands out. Service was great as well.”

“I went to Sub City today and had the brisket sandwich, seriously, the best brisket I have ever had. It was tender, flavorful, wonderful fresh bread. The staff is all super friendly. I would go there daily if I didn’t live so far away.”

“My wife and I really enjoy visiting Bremer Brewery. They have a great variety of beers so you are sure to find something you like no matter your beer preference. They also have other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink options. The food is great and they switch it up from time to time with menu specials. If you want more than beer and food they host fun events like trivia night or live music each month. We have never been disappointed.”

“Are there nicer bars in town? Sure. Are there better bars in town? No way.This is a great bar with a great atmosphere. It's dimly lit, usually reasonably quiet (as bars go), and a little trashy (but in a good way). On the main floor you'll find the bar, a shuffleboard table, darts, jukebox, a couple tables to sit at, and good people. This bar has a lot of traditions and respect for its long time patrons. They often run contests for their guests like the big March Madness shot bracket, measured each night when two shots compete for orders. The second level sports a free pool table on one side, and a lounge area with leather couches on the other side.The bartenders are always friendly and prompt, and there is good conversation to be had with other patrons.OK beer selection, lots of fruity and cider options, but also a good array of heavy beers. I enjoyed a hazy Sierra Nevada IPA and then several Odell 90 Shillings.My friends and I also appreciated the relatively private area for smoking out back.”

“We had small birthday get together today for my brother-in-laws 90th birthday and used the small room by the restrooms. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. I then took a couple of desserts to my nephew at the Shell Rock Care Center and made his day with a surprise visit by all our Minnesota relatives that came down for the occasion. “We order quite often & everything is always perfect. Today I ordered a veggie & it had so much Mayo & oil & vinegar that the bread was like soup. Ate the inside but threw bread out. We will be back definitely but just wanted you to be aware.”

From the pink Cadillac on the wall to the small town neighborhood bar feel, this place hits just right. The barkeeps are attentive and polite, and the people there are exactly what you might expect.
