“My wife and I really enjoy visiting Bremer Brewery. They have a great variety of beers so you are sure to find something you like no matter your beer preference. They also have other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink options. The food is great and they switch it up from time to time with menu specials. If you want more than beer and food they host fun events like trivia night or live music each month. We have never been disappointed.”

“I went to Sub City today and had the brisket sandwich, seriously, the best brisket I have ever had. It was tender, flavorful, wonderful fresh bread. The staff is all super friendly. I would go there daily if I didn’t live so far away.”

Their blended drinks are top-notch; the raspberry white mocha is my personal go-to, rich and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of sweetness. My wife has her own signature order that I’ve memorized after countless trips—it’s that kind of place where you find your drink and never look back... unless they break out something seasonal or are experimenting with a new beverage, then I always love being a guinea pig. 😅

Beyond the drinks, I love the cozy, inviting atmosphere. The shelves of books give it an eclectic feel, and it’s one of the few coffee shops where I can truly focus and get work done for hours. Even though I’ve been able to do some work from home for over a year, I make a point to stop by regularly—it’s my productivity haven and caffeine fix all in one.”

“Are there nicer bars in town? Sure. Are there better bars in town? No way.This is a great bar with a great atmosphere. It's dimly lit, usually reasonably quiet (as bars go), and a little trashy (but in a good way). On the main floor you'll find the bar, a shuffleboard table, darts, jukebox, a couple tables to sit at, and good people. This bar has a lot of traditions and respect for its long time patrons. They often run contests for their guests like the big March Madness shot bracket, measured each night when two shots compete for orders. The second level sports a free pool table on one side, and a lounge area with leather couches on the other side.The bartenders are always friendly and prompt, and there is good conversation to be had with other patrons.OK beer selection, lots of fruity and cider options, but also a good array of heavy beers. I enjoyed a hazy Sierra Nevada IPA and then several Odell 90 Shillings.My friends and I also appreciated the relatively private area for smoking out back.”

“Amazing lunch! I had the chicken croissant with Cole slaw and walnut pineapple fluff. I'm a coleslaw snob and theirs beat my top favorite. Husband had their Reuben sandwich and loved it. We splurged for our anniversary and shred a piece of their carrot cake. Delicious! Looking forward to coming again and trying breakfast!”

“If you find yourself passing through Waverly, Iowa, and you think you need to wet your whistle, then you should definitely stop by The Pour House! From the pink Cadillac on the wall to the small town neighborhood bar feel, this place hits just right. The barkeeps are attentive and polite, and the people there are exactly what you might expect. Nice job, will be back!”

“I've ordered here about once a year for the last 8ish years. I've never been overly impressed but the delivery is fast and convenient. I just got it today and it's by far the best I've ever had from here or any other place in a while. Delivery was quick as always. All of our food was hot and fresh. Beef lo mein was packed with meat and veg, fried rice was spot on. Sweet and sour chicken was crispy and good. If you've had a bad experience here in the past give them another chance! Idk what changed but this will be in my regular rotation going forward!”

“We are far from prejudice or racist. It clearly states on our front window no party busses allowed, without prior authorization. The sign has been up for over 5 years. When a bus full of minors pulls up and wants to use our restroom, steal things, break things and try to get served they will always be asked to leave! We appreciate all the good reviews! But if there is an issue of how things were handled. Please contact us directly so we may address it accordingly.”

“I'm a long time customer and love Scooter's coffee. Today I bought my usual mocha, but it came to me tasting of coffee and water. No milk. I went to the window and was met by an employee who was rude, rude, rude. She argued with me that if they made another, it would taste the same. Then she slammed the window in my face. To add insult to injury, I called 2 hr later and asked to talk with a manager...I told her my story and she didn't even offer my money back. If I were the owner of this franchise, I would be embarrassed.”

“In from out of town. Wanted to try a local flair. So glad we did. We ordered breadsticks and chef salads. The sticks were delicious! The salads were very generous. Overall A- the waiter was great. Def recommend.”
