“Very surprised by the atmosphere of this location. No one greeted me at all and it was my first time here. I had to greet them and ask them if i just wait here (pick up preorder) and i got a weird look with a yes. Only came for an order because my nieces and sil love this place. didn’t enjoy the vibe of it all.“

“Love this spot! The selection is great and there are quite a few specials as well. There are endless possibilities when it comes to making your own creation, too. You can also get premise cakes and tubs of ice cream. It’s nice and clean inside with a quiet setting. The tables are small, but in a good way lol. Outdoor seating is an option here also, but there aren’t any table outside; just large benches. The bathroom was clean as well. Each of the employees were wonderful! They were pleasant to talk to and very patient. They make it all look so fun!“

“Gluten free menu!!! My daughter has Celiac’s disease & it was SO great to be able to sit down in a restaurant & have a safe meal for her to eat. Our hometown doesn’t offer this kind of menu so we were so impressed to find this gem of a restaurant. Great service & great prices. Thank you so much for giving us a night of “normalcy” of dining out. It’s much more challenging than most people realize.“

“My 50th birthday is coming up and my favorite ice cream is a seasonal flavor at BR, but there aren't any close to us anymore. I had to come to the DSM area for an outpatient surgery. I was able to call the day before and ask them to pack up some of that flavor so I could put it in the freezer until my birthday. When I was there yesterday, the owners were so kind and gracious and I was pleasantly surprised to unpack the ice cream at home to find that the female employee, who packed up my ice cream after taking my call-in order, had written a personal birthday message on my packed ice cream! That above-and-beyond customer service is pretty rare these days in Iowa, sadly, and I can appreciate that as both a customer and as the former owner of a store. THANK YOU.“

“I am the type of person that loves positivity and giving great reviews. Give honor to where honor is due. And I give great reviews, call the managers and praise the service all the time. I have also had my share of terrible service and/or food and usually do not say a word. The experience I had this afternoon at Culvers in Ankeny was horrendous. The food that is. The drive through guy that took my order, payment and delivery was so kind and helpful. I ordered a cod dinner and was only able to eat some of the fish. The 2 sides I ordered were cheese curds and fries. Both were so cold, hard and dry. I was so disappointed. The roll that came with it was cold, hard and dry as well. The butter was good! I did eat most of the fish but it too was tough. WHAT has happened to Culvers? Don't they realize that they are not the only option for food? Sad to say but I will be going to those other options for my meals in the future. The concrete I ordered was sloppy (down side of cup) and melting but did taste good. I HATE leaving a poor review but come on Culvers. Do better. Be better. If it had been just 1 food this review would never have been written. Oh, side note. This was after the lunch rush and before dinner rush. It was close to 2. Got right into drive through with no waiting. Disappointed.“

“So I had placed an order threw Uber eats they sent a promotion whatever I ordered some cookies and they were NEVER delivered and Uber eat refused the refund. I called the restaurant and Uber somehow had the wrong address despite it being correct in the app. They ended up remaking the order and resent them to my correct address and included an extra cookie which is always appreciated so Thank you soo much for always providing excellent service I love coming or ordering online they're always amazing thank you thank you thank you!!!!! Love the cookies maybe concider adding a few more u guy make a mean cookie!!!“
