“We had our Shellenberger Family Reunion & meal at the Pizza Ranch in Storm Lake, they reserved 1/2 of their party room for us at no extra cost! We enjoyed the privacy, so we could visit without all the hustle and bustle going on in the main dining room. It was a lot cheaper than having our meal catered, as everyone paid for their own meal! plus we sat in air conditioned comfort, as opposed to a bug invested pic nic in the peak of the summer heat! We continued to visit well past the buffet service, but they didn't mind that we stayed and visited longer! We plan to do that again this coming year!”

“Stopped at Smokin' Hereford for the first time this week. Fantastic food and great service with unique, rustic decor. I am gluten free, and their staff was knowledgeable and provided a gluten free menu and answered any questions I had. Will definitely be going back, well worth the trip if you are considering visiting!”

“In a vegan food desert, this place is an oasis. The owner has a vegan family member, so she’s very familiar with vegan food and is super accommodating. We were delighted to have a place that not only had vegan treats, but meal options. She even told us which places in town had vegan fries and that the movie theater’s popcorn is vegan. The cafe is also very kid-friendly with little rooms you can sit in that have a cabinet full of toys. Perfect for the whole family.”

“I stopped in today and ordered a pineapple lemonade with sweet cream on top, along with the Steam Engine wrap with jalapeños. Everything was excellent. The customer service was truly outstanding—10/10. My drink was fresh, flavorful, and delicious, and the staff was extremely accommodating when preparing it. The wrap was equally impressive—also a 10/10. It’s refreshing to walk into a local business and be greeted with genuine smiles and positive energy. I’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend stopping in.”

“The chimichangas were excellent. Big portions, made two meals. Our server was very nice and helpful. I am very messy and they were very nice about giving me extra napkins. I thought of something funny and ended up snarfing chimichanga out my nose. My fianceé thought it was so funny, that she was laughing hysterically and when I came back from the bathroom she was still laughing and staff were around the corner looking concerned if they needed to check on her because she was laughing so hard they probably thought she was crying.
The snarf was, in no way, the restaurants fault, but it's nice they were concerned, "oh no, were just weird, thanks". Nice people.

Parking: You could park a couple semis around that place. Plenty of parking. I even found some money in the parking spot. Now how's that for free parking?”

“This place is amazing. Great food and wonderful staff. The manager is the best. I stopped in for lunch the other day. I dropped a personal check accidentally. The manager drove to my work place to return it to me. When he realized I was not there, he drove across town to return the check the account holder. I was amazed. It was very kind of him to use his own time and gas to return my check. Thank you very much.”
