Hard working good people. You don't drive into Swisher like you're in Las Vegas. Blinded with bright lights that blind you. Black Squirrel and surrounding businesses in Swisher reflect the people. Not a want to be North Liberty.“

“We rented a pontoon boat for the day, and they were really great in orienting to the boat and the lake. They let us load the boat before putting the boat in the water. We called when we were about 15 minutes away, and they were there to get the boat. They let us dock and get our stuff out before they loaded the boat to return it to the lodge. They told us to just leave the trash, and they would clean it up. It made for an easy trip with minimal effort. Gas was included.“

“Stopped in for my birthday as The Shack has always been a favorite of mine. Food and service was wonderful. I'm in LOVE with the Lemon Presses! so good and light tasting. Can not wait for summer and live music outside!“

“The establishment is a beautiful theater with a bar. They're open for just having beverages, and later in the evenings, they have live performance shows. If you want to see the live performances you must buy tickets. It is a very pleasant atmosphere. Sundays, they have free Open Jam session opening with a house band. Musicians encouraged to bring an instrument & sign up to perform in the Open Jam. Excellent opportunity for musicians to build experience performing live with other musicians. Musicians come perform & become a part of the local musicians community!“

“Only major complaint I have is the terrible access to getting in the parking lot. At the very least it needs gravel filled. Enormous potholes not safe for the customers or their cars. Hope the new owners can address this ASAP. I am speaking for many.“

“First time here. Stopped on a whim because it was lunch and we were hungry, and something non-American sounded good. By the looks of the menu, you're going to find plenty of American food here. But there's a nice Irish flavor to it. We enjoyed our food (Irish spring rolls and fish and chips) and would recommend it ad a good place to eat. We came at the right time, too—we practically had the place to ourselves!“

“Appetizers were okay. Cheese filled egg rolls.I had a the hot and creamy burger with sriracha bacon and cream cheese. It had a little too much cream cheese for my liking. Sometimes less is more. The burger quality was good. Overall taste okay.My husband had a tenderloin which was dark meat. Very porky, fries were okay, not great and the cider was excellent.The waitress was very excellent, kind, courteous and served with a smile. She tried to leave for the day without collecting her tip. We asked her to come over so that we could tip her and then we also gave a tip to the lady that checked us out.“

“Cedar Rapids (NewBo neighborhood) — pictures don’t do it justice, excellent food, service was even better, what an amazing inside. Tenderloin was moist, perfectly breaded /fried, o-rings were ooo-la-la tasty. Can’t wait to go try more on the menu. This is definitely a place we will visit frequently.“
