“Ryan makes this Starbucks location shine! At the Prairie View & Ashworth store in Waukee, he’s the best little bit of sunshine anyone could ask for in the morning. Always happy to help, quick with great suggestions, and so genuinely friendly—it’s contagious.

“I love the barista gals on the am shift during the week! They remember your name, are friendly and remember my order! I just wish Hy-Vee offered a special discount or promotion since sometimes they benefit from an early Starbucks trip. This Starbucks makes drinks better than the stand alone Starbucks places!“

“This Starbucks as of 2026 usually costs a little more than westowne and is similar pricing to university Ave. Save money by going to target or the one near the country club.
Remodeled around 2021, this Starbucks is located off busy Mills Civic. The line usually wraps around the building for drive through.
Indoors looks modern with small tables close together. Since Covid, it’s become more cold and not the ideal place to hang out for homework or a casual meeting. Not enough seating, plug-ins or table space. The music is usually loud and not very good.
The coffee and food continues to be predictably delicious. The staff are equally 5 star worthy. Lines are frequently long here.“

“This Starbucks is inside Target. It’s not the best place to hang out to do work. Drinks usually cost less here because you can get target rewards and Starbucks rewards. It’s smaller with high staff turnover — my drinks are frequently made wrong or forget an item but I love it here.“
“Starbucks is a great place if you need some quick great tasting coffee. They have a variety of drinks catering to all varieties of preferences. Staff is also usually very friendly. If you have never been it is something that I think you should try at least once.“
“I online ordered while out Black Friday shopping. While I was in the restroom, someone stole my ready drink from the bar. I informed a barista at the register, and they were so happy to remake my drink! They were awesome about handling it, and it made a not great situation all okay again! The latte was very tasty btw!“
