Bar Gernika Reviews
I’ve eaten here twice and I’m transported to local bars in Europe that sell tortillas and serve a variety of digestiffs. I love the indie vibe with good music and locals. What stands out is the robust beer menu with n/a’s.
The tortillas with the pimentos is delicious and there must be a new chef because the food tastes like it got a major flavor upgrade. The tortilla soup was filled with flavor and the shredded chicken had a nice pulled pork feel to it...read full review
First stop in Idaho and it did not disappoint. We got the lamb grinder with croquettes, and a basque tortilla. Everything was delicious, the service was great, and the atmosphere was incredible. Such a perfect start to our vacation!
Stopped here with my kiddo to plan our geocaching route over tapas in the sunshine. Delish. Kind service. Only regret is we didn’t stay longer. Next time!

Bar Gernika is a consistently good and affordable spot serving delicious Basque food. The lamb stew and lamb grinder are standouts, and the croquettes are a must-try. The friendly and hospitable staff create a wonderful dining experience. Guests often recommend the French fries and cheese plate, and the staff is attentive and helpful, especially when choosing beers. This casual eatery remains a top choice for those seeking tasty Basque dishes in a friendly setting. The food menu is something that you have to try. The chicken grinder was moist, tender and flavorful. The Basque chorizo sandwich was deeply spiced with a kiss of heat, complemented by the sweetness of the grilled onions and pimientos. The croquetas were piping hot and perfectly crisp. The staff all clearly care deeply about the food and the customers.
