This place is indowntown Boise. It has an "old" feeling which makes sense since the bar is from the late 1800, the bar against the wall with the mirror is from the early 1900s, and the floor is old hard floor. It is dark here which adds to the atmosphere. There is a ton of old pictures and memorabilia on the walls which I think is pretty awesome. It is just a cool place all the way around. Super cool joint in Boise. Came here twice during my bachelor party. Was more trashed than a bag of mashed up assholes and my buddy had the great idea to do a "Big Iron" shot. Now you ask, what is a big iron shot? Well it's a shot of whiskey (buyers choice) while you have a horse shoe lip of dip in. I couldn't finish mine, friend 1 puked in the whiskey glass and shot it again, and friend 2 took it and immediately ran to the bathroom to release his stomach demons. This place has a great vibe. If you are bar hopping in Boise, Pengilly's is a must stop. If you are looking for a great place to relax for the evening with good company, this is also the spot. Always welcoming and drinks always flowing.
