Very good for their price point. The service was fast. The tamal was very well shaped and the right amount of masa. The carnitas tacos was very very good. The rice and refried beans was tasty but the beans was a bit watery. Over all I would recommend this place to eat at. PS they also have a market with a butchers area.

Ordered Asada Tacos, Tamales and Enchiladas thru Uber eats and the food does not look like some of the review's pics. The Enchiladas were very dry, the Tacos did'nt came with Onion nor Cilantro. The tamales were mostly Masa and the green salsa taste like beer. Definely not a 4-5 star place.

This is the BEST Mexican restaurant-meat market around! The food is amazing and they have a nice selection of meats you can purchase to cook at home! Definitely recommend if you're looking for the real deal! Very nice staff as well!

I grew up in Boise, undergrad at BSU, PhD at UofA in Tucson, my first university position at the Tec de Monterrey, in Monterrey, MX, for 12 years. So ... I know authentic Mexican food, I mean REAL Mexican food (from every state in Mexico). A place like this, did not even exist in Boise when I left for grad school. You had Taco John's and Cafe Ole. So when I finally made it back to Boise, and walked into this place, well it felt like walking into some local taqueria on any streetcorner in Mexico, and with the same clientele. Simple, authentic, full of Mexican campesinas/os straight off the boat and eating lunch at their favorite local. That is the experience and ambiance...no 5 star anything (except for this review), just genuine comida Mexicana muchachos.

great burritos— passing through idaho, comparable to ones you find off the street in california
Listen, I've hit many Mexican joints, especially trucks over the years, from San Diego to Seattle. Bay area to Boston. This place is legit. Dead give away, Mexican groceries are part of the business. And, lots of Spanish in the room at lunchtime.
Location. Typical off street lower level strip mall. Low rent type of location. Parking can be challenging
Ambiance. Low key. Nothing special. Mom and pop. Sometimes less than clean looking.
Food. I started with their version of a quesadilla. Yes I said quesadilla.
It's not typical. In fact, when I came I asked the recommendation and they said that. I shied away until they described it. It is the bomb. It is not American style Quesadilla. In fact, it's not with cheese or just very little. Shhhuuuuu. Just order it and eat.
Bottom line, everything I've tried is excellent, start with the quesadilla. And again, don't think American style.
Bottom line would I come back? Indeed. I'm riding this review and this is my 4th or 5th time. There you go.
Enjoy!!
After I ate i slept 3 hrs

Friendly folks and wonderful food as always. If you're looking for authentic Mexican I would definitely recommend this place. The chicken torta is my personal new favorite but my boyfriend always gets their beef burrito. Not to mention the store aspect of it! Just a fun chill place!

I've been going here for almost 10 years. Staff are really kind, great atmosphere and their Chicharones and Menudo are the best in Boise.

Likely the most authentic Mexican food in Boise. I had the red sauce chicken enchiladas and it was 10/10.

Would you eat this? My husband bought two gorditas. And this one was burnt . How can you not see this? How the heck does the cook hsnd this out knowing it's burnt? I called and the person before I even finished telling him knew it was burnt! Never again!
Super nondescript little authentic Mexican store with a kitchen, hiding in a run down strip mall… and we LOVED it!! Carne Asada Burritos were awesome, rice full of flavor. Loved the spicy pico as well from the salsa bar. What a hidden gem.
