The mascarpone cream was good with croissant BUT waaaay overpriced. 10 dollars for pastry size of a regular small lemon. The croissant was decent it’s just a croissant though: The creams are decent much better thank cafe sorento BUT At 10 dollars it’s a complete rip off worth 5 dollars AT most and even 5 would be premium for THAT small of a size. 10 dollars is just complete greed. Melted Chocolate makes one’s 3 times as big for a fraction of price.
Quality ingredients with skilled bakers results in exquisite pastries. Nothing is too sweet. The flavors are clean and layered. In the pain suisse, you taste the crisp pastry, then the slightly sweetened vanilla pastry cream and finally the dark chocolate chips. Perfection. Prices reflect the quality.
I only come to Boise once a year, but this place is really THE best French bakery (or patisserie) I have ever been to- I’ve been in Paris and tried nothing close to this! The pastries are buttery and flaky, and the savory options like the brioche lorraine are just as good. Service is excellent, the staff and the owner were friendly.

Make sure you come early, otherwise you’ll be stuck in a line, or worse, everything will sell out.
