North End Chinese Restaurant offers a mix of reviews, with many customers enjoying the Mu Shu chicken and finding the staff to be friendly and accommodating. Known for its generous portions and fresh food, it remains a popular choice for lovers of Chinese cuisine. Takeout is often praised, especially during winter when hot and sour soup is a favorite. The food is served hot and is consistently good, though some minor issues like the sweetness of the hot and sour soup can vary. The tofu with mixed vegetables is highlighted for its variety of fresh vegetables, including broccoli, celery, napa cabbage, and zucchini, all cooked perfectly and served with plenty of sauce. The crab rangoons are also recommended, praised for their cream cheese filling.
Customers express that North End Chinese Restaurant stands out among other options in Boise, with many returning for the fried rice and sesame chicken. The restaurant maintains reasonable prices, even lowering them during tough times, which customers appreciate. The inside may be a bit dated, but it does not detract from the quality of the food. Despite nearby road construction, the restaurant remains open and ready to serve, with friendly staff eager to provide quick service. Overall, North End Chinese Restaurant is appreciated for its tasty vegetarian options and especially its tofu dishes, making it a worthwhile visit for those seeking quality Chinese cuisine.
