The official Boise Airport website states River City Cafe opens at 4am. Twice in the last month I’ve had early morning flights, and I can tell you they DO NOT open at 4am.They opened their gate halfway around 4:15-ish the first time I stopped. Typically when I fly through Boise I'll go to Einstein Bros to also get a bagel, but every time I'm there the coffee just isn't good. I decided to get an iced white chocolate americano and am thoroughly impressed. All the white chocolate is actually mixed in instead of a puddle at the bottom. The shots don't taste burnt and it's a perfect ratio of ice and coffee. For a large water bottle and 20 oz coffee, I felt like $9.00 was actually a relatively fair price for an airport. Every time I have an early flight out of Boise Airport I stop by River City for a coffee or London fog and a sausage egg and cheese biscuit. Never disappoints, service is friendly and quick, and the food/drinks are good and warm. Would really recommend a headed up cinnamon roll.
