Unfortunately my family and I didn't have a great experience at Coopers. The pros of this place were definitely the atmosphere and scenic views. Seems like a clean establishment and they really embraced the location. The part we did not enjoy was the food. It was sad because a few people in the area recommended this place so we hyped it up in our heads that it was going to be good and a nice end to our family trip. First thing for only having a few tables seated it took roughly 20 minutes to get our food. I ordered the filet mignon(Coop's Choice) which is a $32 steak, and honestly was the most grisly filet I ever had. Unfortunately I sent it back and got another which wasn't great but better than the first. My wife ordered the Chicken Pesto Alfredo which had more oil than sauce on the plate. My children meals were as expected mac n cheese and corndogs, personally I think the corndogs were overcooked because they were pretty dark. The server however did try to soften the mood, she discounted our check and gave my kids some ice cream so that was nice. Honestly maybe it's because it was the off season but this place just wasn't really impressive for the prices listed and the pictures shown on the website.

The food was so good! My favorite was the sweet potato tots with marshmallow dip.

Last day in Garden City and we were looking forward to breakfast this morning only to find the restaurant closed. Oh well a missed opportunity. Correct your status posting please.

The view from the restaurant was beautiful. The food, however, wasn't very impressive. I ordered the huckleberry bison sausage pasta and some sweet potato tater tots. The sausage itself was pretty good but everything else in the pasta lacked flavor and was just drowning in butter and oil. The tater tots were pretty good, but I wasn't a huge fan of the marshmallow sauce that came with them.Service was pretty good. They weren't very busy but it took a little while to get a table. After we were sat, I felt that our waitress did great! She checked in a few times and was prompt.Overall I'd be willing to try it one more time, but it's not at the top of my list.

I was driving around bear lake and was getting hungry. I looked up places to eat and chose this place right away. I gotta say I was not disappointed. My girlfriend had a BLT and I had the Salmon both got garlic fries. It was delicious.

Bear Lake on either the Utah or Idaho side in the off season means no crowds, a lot of snow, cool fog, and limited dining options. Mercifully Cooper’s on the Idaho side in Fish Haven is open year-round to sate one’s hunger pangs. We went there on the recommendation of the staff of Epic, where we’d rented our snowshoes (don’t miss the Limber Pine Trail) and so glad we took their advice. We were quickly seated with darn good views of the fogged in lake and a few deer laying waste to a pine tree. Our server, Kylee, was a gem. Her recommendations were spot on. She urged me to get the smoked brisket burger. I violently hate bleu cheese, a reaction she shared, but she swore six ways ‘til Sunday I’d be pleasantly surprised if I kept it on. She recommended the chicken and avocado sandwich and sweet potato tots with the marshmallow sauce (keep reading!).Our food did not come out within seconds of ordering. A sign it was indeed being cooked to order. Soon enough Kylee delivered our meal. My burger was divine. Bacon was crispy and the smoked brisket in a burger style was hearty. The bleu cheese sauce did not betray its heinous origin and made for an amazing burger. Fry sauce had a little Idaho kick too. Now the sweet potato tots and marshmallow sauce. Basically this was the greatest little dessert but not dessert. I can’t exactly describe the sauce - it wasn’t light but it wasn’t heavy either. It just racked the taste buds in the best way.Whatever season you find yourself in Bear Lake, don’t miss Cooper’s!
