Like another reviewer, I wish there was a storefront. Acme bakes a world-class baguette. We pick up ours at the Boise Co-op. Every time we buy one, I wish we had bought two! This bread is just OUTSTANDING! I do suggest that you call the Co-op if you are going there to buy the baguette to make sure that Acme has done their daily delivery and that they have them in stock.

Got to meet the friendly Acme Bakeshop folks at the Boise Farmers Market this morning. Their pretzels and the Golden Slipper loaf are both excellent. Can't wait to try more of their breads.

Whenever I visit my daughter’s family in Boise, this bakeshop has amazing bread - all varieties. They also treat their customers like family. A very special place.

This place is awesome some of the best bread I've ever had I just wish they had a store front so I didn't have to drive clear cross town to get it

Their regular and garlic sourdough are both outstanding; you'll never want to eat grocery store sourdough again. I get a few loaves every week from the farmer's market. If you ever get the chance, give their C.R.O.W bread a try as well, it's so unique and delicious and keeps really well. Honestly just buy whatever sounds good; I've never had a bad loaf of bread from them.

If I had a magic wand I would wave it and "poof" there would be a retail storefront for the fantabulous Acme bakery. That absence aside, there is not a single thing that would make this artisan bakery even more splendid than it is. We have been fans since about 2013, before we moved to Boise, and discovered Acme bread at the Farmers Market. (Both the market and Acme products weighed favorably in our decision to relocate here. You think I'm kidding.) We still select from their multitudinous offerings of loaves of all kinds as well as buns and sandwich rolls which are still sold at the Market in its' season and also at the Boise CoOp locations of both the north end 'mothership' and the Meridian satellite all year. If you go to Acme's site you'll see which varieties are sold where. (Lark and Larder sometimes has loaves in the store too.) There are standards we love, for sure, but then we have "OH MY" discoveries of varieties new to us. Our "OH MY" discovery a couple of years ago was that Acme bakes the best, without concern for being absolutist about that, the very best stollen ever during the Christmas season. And our "OH MY" for this Farmers Market season last week was the discovery of Acme's "Bread Bread" in which toasted baguette crumbs are mixed into a wonderful artisan bread dough with outcome being unique texture and chewy crust. Not to mention their launch of Dark Star bread earlier this year which may be my fav of this calendar year to date. Also if you've enjoyed really good sandwiches from any number of craft, small restaurant kitchens and commented how the buns or bread used is "it", it is likely you've been enjoying Acme product (or that of another excellent Boise baker, Gaston's) as a main distribution channel for Acme are local independent restaurants. Bonus points for the use of sustainably grown and raised ingredients to make their baked goods and also for the owner being the nicest young man and all the nice people who work in the business for the outreach in the community to do good works. I'll end by saying if they ever open a storefront, my Yelp friend and self disclosed bread fiend Michelle P will be getting a gift certificate from me to taste her way through the wares!

Love the bread. Vollkornbrot and pretzels, just like home in Germany. Such nice people working there.

Local bread? Yes please! They have my favorite sourdough and make some great specialty loaves throughout the year. If I had to live off of only bread and butter, I would not be disappointed if it was Acme's bread! You can find them at the Saturday market or in some local shops like the Co-OP.
