I’ve been eating Hugo’s since high school in Meridian in the early-mid eighties. Then, I worked on State Street for many years and often ate at that location. I just had it again for the first time in a long time. That sandwich and fries always tastes exactly like it did 37 years ago! Yay for consistency! Yay, Hugo’s!

Hugo's Deli is the best deli in the Eagle/Meridian area, without question. The sandwiches are consistently great, with meat packed high, fresh and crisp vegetables, and delicious bread. The deli fries are the best—unique, perfectly cooked, and they hit the spot every single time. Portions are solid, and everything tastes fresh. The veggie sandwich is the best veggie sandwich ever. Box lunches include a good size bag of chips and a delicious chocolate chip cookie. Service is fast and very friendly, with a dependable comfort-food deli vibe that never disappoints. The store is clean. One visit noted a man who was not very polite and kind of pushy, but other than that, everything was great. This location is a gem, and customers will definitely use Hugo's again and again.
