Gambinos has always had a reputation for good portion sizes, good food, and fair prices, that has changed along with a recent shift in management. The food quality of our favorites was still good Our service was fantastic. We were slightly confused when my wife's $16 Lasagna portion was the same price, but about 25% smaller than usual. We were completely taken aback when we received the check. A pint of beer that used to cost ~$5 was $9! I have paid $8 or $9 for a "nice" beer in Moscow, but the new pricing is just completely outside of the range of reality. Even the specialty tap room next door prices their beers between about $6-8. I generally understand the need to raise costs with inflation, but the beer menu doesn't have prices and we did not see note of pricing changes anywhere on the menu and that was a bit off-putting as a repeat customer. Our server was fantastic and even apologetic when we inquisitively asked about the obvious changes to our usual bill. Unfortunately, we don't have much of a reason to go back with other food and drink options in town at a similar level of quality that are much more reasonably priced. The most I can do is hope the 25-50% increase in cost to the customers has been reflected in the staffs' paychecks.

Something has changed. :( We always come for my brothers bday, but this time the food just tasted crappy like the recipes had changed. Stuffed pizza had super tough crusts, hardly any cheese, wilted soggy salads & the food took forever too/absent waitstaff. Really disappointed…..

Some places go downhill this place dove off a cliff. A 40 minute wait, the salads sucked. The stuffed crust pizza has always been great this time it wasn't as good as a five dollar little Ceasar. Pizza. There was basically a pool of oil under one of our pizzas. VERY LITTLE CHEESE. The crusts were so overcooked you could hardly cut it with a steak knife. $94 for this? Not coming back.

Second time trying this place. Food was ok, service was awful. We were in the dining room with one other table only saw our waitress 3 times, once when we had to flag down another waitress to find our lady. I had iced tea that I had to dilute down with the water, as the waitress was mia. I had the meatball sandwich and chips. If you want a good dining experience I’d suggest casa Lopez.

Service wasn't great, didn't get waters for the first 15 minutes. Pasta was extremely greasy and the pizza wasn't fully cooked. Had the worst stomach ache ever afterwards.

Came here with my wife and daughter. Food was great. Chicken Caesar was big enough for two, plus I think they had the best Calzone I have ever had, and that's saying something!! Excellent, affordable place!

The food was cold, some was burnt and others were under cook. There was something hard in the macaroni. The service was very poor, everyone around us got their food before us. However they comped our meal but we turned back all of the food. Would be zero but google is too nice. However, it was an expirenece. Check this place though: WENDYS

I don't know if we went on an off day or what, but we did not have a good experience here. Alfredo sauce had no flavor, tasted like buttery water, chicken was too tough to cut let alone chew, our waiter forgot several things, refills, plates etc. We were really enjoying the sunny day, but we were sat directly in the sun, we were roasting and could see from being blinded. I'm hopeful it was an off day, but for $70... we were really not pleased.

I recently ordered one of their pasta dishes (# 71) with chicken, ham and cheese on top. It's been on their menu for over 10 years and it was as good as I remember. The sauce they make is excellent. I highly recommend Gambino's - their staff was professional and good too! (I recommend their garlic twists also)

Gambino's. I've been a huge fan since before their remodel quite a few years ago. When my parents and I moved over here in 1997, it was a little hole in the wall amazing Italian restaurant - and it still is! (But it's not a hole in the wall any longer!) ! I wish I had pictures from back then! It's right on the college campus of University of Idaho and it's one of the greater Italian places I've had in the Pacific Northwest. huge portions and pretty good prices for what you get. The garlic twist are beyond my favorite thing. Their meatballs are huge and I will sometimes get them as an appetizer to go to have them for lunch the next day. Super great service as well. Their Alfredo sauce is killer as is their ranch. I have never seen a place that had such huge sandwich portions, and where you could have pasta as a side instead of chips! Lots of seating - very dim lighting though (ambiance?). There's parking in the back and just be careful if you cross the street because there is no crosswalk. Again, hefty portions! The #71 on the menu is a family favorite!
