“You know I like a place when I mention they are not trying to be anything they are not. This is a burger and fish & chip place. The products they are using are not farm-to-table. But they have got it down--very well--how to put it all together hot, fresh-ish, and for prices you are not used to in 2024. Everything we had was great. C'mon, think about it. This is a place you might rave about, paying twice as much, if it was in a coastal, el touristo town. But here we are 300 clicks inland, huh? It was busy on a Tue lunch. But they still found time to smile while that griddle/fryer is cranking out the bad-good food. We really, really liked this place; and, that is beyond having two ravenous 20-something sons with us, and the frugality factor. Dang it, I want to know what food service provider the are getting their stuff from...“
“I went to Fish On a couple of days ago with my wife, the atmosphere was relaxed, they have a good selection of craft beers, and the food was both different and delicious. We had the shrimp and grits and the Sichuan fish bowl, both were amazing, we both took some home as the portions were good sizes. We will definitely go back to try other items on a very interesting menu.“
“Having passed Pryor's many times, my wife and I decided to give it a try. This aligns with our desire to support local businesses whenever possible, So, where to begin- how about the decor? You cannot help but be impressed with the array of old items displayed. From handheld tools like saws and scythes, to spears used for fishing, to snowshoes. And so much more! Our server was very nice. She was prompt, and adapted quite well to accommodate my hearing issue. Our food arrived timely, and was quite tasty. We told our server that we would be back. If you have not tried Pryor's, you really ought to. You will not ne disappointed!“
“I love this restaurant. My wife and I frequent this restaurant as much as we can. We love the atmosphere, ambiance and attention to detail that we always seem to get!! Tonight was special, my birthday! We were met by a friendly, knowledgeable staff that made us feel comfortable as soon as we walked in the door. The food was delicious, prepared by expert hands. Our waitress, whisper is not only a waitress with expert people skills, she was very enjoyable to talk with. We enjoyed our dinner partly because she's so engaging at just the right moments. My wife thought her drink was made different from the last time we were there and the manager Josh was quick at our table to correct the issue. The amount of attention we received was something we don't usually get at other fine dining establishments. Needless to say we'll be back.“
“I have heard rave reviews from the church gals about this restaurant and have been meaning to try it. And who knows quaint eateries better than retired, lunching ladies? So when my folks were visiting for a week we ventured over. We had a group of 5 and called to make a reservation. I am so glad we did because for noon on a Wednesday the place was bustling! The day we went happened to be cold and rainy, which made the cozy ambiance even more satisfying. I ordered a tuna melt that came with chips, a pickle spear, and fruit salad. My parents each ordered the daily special 1/2 sandwich, cup of soup, green salad, and fruit salad for under $15! The portions were generous, the food was delicious and the staff was very attentive and polite. I will definitely be back!“
