“Last night after a long hiatus we stopped into Mortons In Rosemont! I have eaten at the Original on State street so I wasn't sure what to expect. I believe we showed up a few minutes before they opened for dinner.... Our mistake after shopping at the Fashion Outlets nearby. We realized that we were the 1st there and felt bad! However we were immediately greeted and welcomed in! We were seated and waited on by Suzanne whom was obviously a pro at her job! We did their Porter Steak Dinner that's literally enough for 2 huge guys, and we had the most amazing experience! I eat at many fine restaurants but this was a wonderful time and fabulous meal. Suzanne just made us feel comfortable and like we were regulars! I'm sure we will be back soon! 5 stars ++++++“

“After Vesecky (bakery) in Berwyn closed several months ago, preceeded by the loss of Bohemian Crystal (restaurant) about a year earlier; we thought it was no longer worth the 3+ hr drive up to the Chicago suburbs to satisfy our Czech food cravings. We were wrong; as finding this little gem was such a fortunate happenstance. The cream of mushroom soap is wonderful, the breaded pork tenderloin excellent, the strudel addictive, the kolacky tasty, etc etc etc... And; they have jaternice, cream sausage, head cheese, etc. all of which is virtually non-existent in mid-north Indiana. This is the type of east-European ethnic deli/eatery that is becoming harder and harder to find; thank goodness we spotted it. If one enjoys Czech cuisine, this is a "must" visit.“

“Great lunch spot in downtown Wheaton for a quick bite. The sandwiches are a very good and generous sized. I really like the grinders and panini when I want a hot sandwich. Great service & staff! There is outdoor seating so we can bring our dog when the weather is nice. It can get crowded on weekends around lunchtime, especially in the warmer months.

Parking: Plenty of street parking is available if you can find a spot. During busy times in Wheaton, I recommend the free parking garage, it is centrally located and only minutes walk to any of the attractions. It is maybe a 2 minute walk to the deli.

Kid-friendliness: Kids love eating here! Lots of families visit Shane's because of the very kid friendly menu.“

“I hit the drive thru so I can't give a justifiable score on the atmosphere, however, the food is fantastic. I have tried the ham, egg, and cheese on an onion bagel along with the sausage egg on an everything bagel. Both sandwiches were great. I've not been in the area for lunch/ dinner, however, the quality of the breakfast sandwiches makes me believe the lunch/ dinner options would be on par.“

“I walked in one rainy day, and I never have been to this deli store, and I asked the man for a tunafish sandwich. It was the best tunafish sandwich I have ever eaten in my life. The bread was fresh. The tuna fish was fresh, the seasonings, he put Italian seasonings on this tuna fish sandwich, I will specially go to Elmhurst to eat this food. It is so good you need to try this place.“

“The Honey Baked Ham Store is always stocked with the turkey that we like since we don’t eat pork products. The turkey is honey crusted or smoked plain. Both are good options. The turkey is nicely packaged and sliced for quick serving.
They have smaller packages or larger ones depending on your preference. It is very lean and has a great flavor.
Service is fast and friendly. I like that they give you suggestions on freezing it too.“

“I was in the area and decided to check this place out. As usual with corporate places where there's a large building leasing out to different companies, there's a cafe. Don't get me wrong about the 4 stars, its really about 3.5 Like all the other cafes this place serves what is essentially nothing more than corporate-grade school food. There's hardly any seasoning, everything is way overpriced, portions are small, etc.I ordered a meatball sub which was a little over $6 and came with no sides or drink. I chose sweet peppers instead of hot peppers. What really drives it up to about 3.5 is that they really perfect the little things, the sandwich is put in a toaster where the cheese is melted to perfection and the bread is just warmed enough so that it feels like it just came out of the oven.As always with these, they're great every once in awhile or when you have to scarf down food quickly before a meeting, but there's plenty of other places out there with better food and lower prices.“
