O/B Slices is a local restaurant in Alton serving authentic New York-style wood-fired pizza by the slice. The pizza is delicious, yummy, and high-quality, with an outstanding crust that is perfectly crisp on the outside and has a classic chewy bite. Slices are big and baked to perfection. The sauce is very good. Popular choices include the cheese slice and the PBR pizza. The truffle fries are a must, and the cream, ranch, and aoli dips are awesome.
The spot is mostly for carryout with no seating to speak of, but parking is ample. Service is excellent, quick, friendly, efficient, and attentive. It is a carryout-only spot where you walk in, get your slice, and walk out. Slices are available at certain times, while other times are strictly for carryout orders placed online; following their Facebook for the varying schedule is recommended. They sell out of their pies for the day and then shut down. The creativity is notable, with unique toppings and house-made sauces. It is a great place to grab pizza and support a local business owner who takes pride in their work.
