Very displeased with my experiences at Alton, IL wing stop. I've eaten there twice, and both times our order has been incorrect. The first time it took about 30 minutes longer than it said it would take and they still messed up the order. Hoped it was because it was newly opened. Gave them another chance a month later. Still took about 20 minutes longer than projected and, once again, the order was incorrect. My husband had to run back to the store to get it resolved. I attempted to call the store 4 times, but they would not answer.
DO NOT GO HERE. make the extra drive some where else or go to st louis.
I normally never leave bad reviews. But this place is awful. I ordered 3 tenders, and a regular fry. It took 30 mins and they weren't busy. Maybe me and a few others in the store. I wont be back. Ill take the extra drive somewhere else. Food was barley hot and I don't have time to wsit another 30 mins for 3 tenders and a handful of fries.
I forgot to mention above that I got take out as well as everyone else in the store.

It would be a zero if I could. Waited an hour past time it was supposed to be ready. Asked him if food was ready when got there, he checked and said no. 30 min later ask again different employee says I'm next. After couple more orders go thru, I ask for refund. Turns out my bag was there and ready the whole time! Waited for nothing other than this employee not capable of checking a name. Unacceptable. And if you've been here I don't have to tell you about the customer service, you already know. What a joke.

Nobody would answer the phone. Barely got help at the counter later. Wings were so dry and crusty like eating leather. No chance I'm back here.

We were very excited to try this location after it opened, but unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing and concerning.
For context, I’ve been in the food industry for about 10 years — managed for 5 years and owned my own restaurant for the past 2. I understand how busy restaurants get and try to be realistic and patient. We weren’t expecting anything over the top or “Gordon Ramsay–level” service. However, after waiting nearly an hour, we did expect warm, quality food.
We ordered inside on a Sunday evening around 4:23 PM. While there were several carry-out orders (which is expected in 2025), we were the only walk-in order. During that time, multiple employees were on break while only one person worked the register, and there appeared to be little urgency or coordination to help prepare food despite the volume of orders. The overall atmosphere felt very unprofessional and disorganized, and it was unclear whether anyone was actively managing the shift.
When we finally received our food, the wings were barely warm, and the fries were unseasoned and clearly frozen. I personally observed frozen fries being pulled from a bag and dropped into the fryer, which was disappointing — especially because I was excited to show my wife the seasoned fries that originally inspired me as a young cook to start making my own hand-cut fries at my shop. What a turn of events.
To make matters worse, both my wife and I became violently ill after eating here, experiencing severe nausea and vomiting. While I can’t say with absolute certainty that the food was the cause, the timing, temperature, and overall handling of the food raises serious concerns about food safety. Given the number of food-borne illness cases today, this is not something I can ignore.
We try to support as many local businesses as possible — not only to spend quality time together, but to learn and gain ideas for our own restaurant. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience felt unsafe and unprofessional, and I believe others deserve to be aware before dining here. Management seriously needs to address food quality, temperature control, staff professionalism, and oversight.

Worst food service experience I've had in a long time. One girl was very awesome came in started getting on the kitchen. We waited for our food for an hour the entire staff seemed to be chillin... would not recommend and our fries were not seasoned at all and that was our whole reason for coming to the place and will not be back which is a bummer We spend almost $100. Whenever we go out to eat we're a large family :/

Was missing multiple items from my order.
The people at the store are rude and unhelpful. You are better off ordering thru the door dash app if you want delivery. If you order thru Wingstop's website they use door dash to deliver, and if there is an issue they tell you to resolve it thru your door dash account, even though you cannot do so after going thru the Wingstop website.

They are more interested in talking with each other than focusing on orders leading to very very long wait times, plus some staff are on their phones

I had high hopes for Wingstop in Alton, but my experiences were disappointing twice. The lemon pepper wings were over-salted and overwhelmed with sauce, rendering them inedible. Perhaps the location opened before staff were fully trained in Wingstop's standards. The St. Louis locations demonstrate a higher level of quality. A temporary closure for staff retraining might be in order.FIRE THE MANAGERS! Call me, I’ll flip
These reviews around!
Beware of this location and just make the drive to Edwardsville. Although this location just opened, I hope it closes soon. The service is lackluster, stagnant, and the employees are careless. The food is cold, often reheated, and you never receive all of the portions you pay for. My advice to the employees who would rather lie about the quality of the food in place of having integrity is to get your CDLs, because the customer service industry isn’t for you!

Every time i order from this store i receive frozen fries. I’ve never had an order be complete without missing items. The quality of the food is terrible. And when you call to receive a refund for missing items they act like it’s a burden when they didn’t do their job right.

I ordered some wings with side of celery and carrots. I got 4 celery sticks, no carrots, no dip. I was soo looking forward to this place...i highly doubt i'll come back. There are way better wing places in alton. It's a shame.
