The single only problem I find with this particular restaurant and the one in Round Lake Beach is they cook their chicken into Oblivion. The white meat mimics a cow chewing on the cud. This is no exaggeration. The Popeyes in Arlington Heights and Waukegan is excellent. I believe their business would quadruple if they turn back their overcooking time on the chicken. I think Popeye's Chicken is the best tasting in the business, but when you overcook it that's lost.
I had worked 12 hours, had not eaten much and was tired. I made my son and my order after seeing fresh chicken on display. I arrived home and fed my dogs. I started to eat my chicken noticing a tough chew and the other pieces looked like they had been there all day. I took it back and showed the cashier/prepper his manager Marcus. He asked his crew to give me fresh chicken and he thanked me for returning. I thanked him for making it right.

Kid-friendliness: Kid portions...
I have never been served such garbage in my life. I love this place... However the chicken I was served was not only cold, it was hard as a rock. I would have been afraid to serve anything that old.
