“We had the BEST time at Punky Cake yesterday. My daughters and I took the cake decorating class and had so much fun and learned so much from Ashely! Ashley has such an amazing energy and taught us all the steps and techniques needed to make a double layer 8” rainbow cake! The experience was so fun we can’t wait to go back for another class! We were able enjoy eating the cake with our family and we are pretty picky about cakes and we ALL raved about the flavor and how it wasn’t too sweet and heavy. “Not gonna lie, I ended up here because my husband and I needed a quick snack, and I tried to go to Choo Choo down the street, but they were packed. When I walked in, there was a long line, and that seemed promising, plus it was moving quickly. We wanted something savory, so we ordered a ham and cheese croissant, a goat cheese and pesto croissant, and a spinach quiche. They warmed up the pastries and brought them out to our table pretty quickly. I was surprised the pastries were so good. The croissants were so flakey and delightful. The spinach quiche had a lovely crust. I completely forgot to take pictures because I was in a rush and starving, but I also saw a security sign that said no camera allowed. I wish they had more savory pastry options with meat, but the ham and cheese croissant was all they had when I visited. I did see that they had sandwiches that could be ordered, so I might try that if I am ever in the area again.“

“The Best Bakery in the North West suburbs of Chicago. I lived in the area for over 31years before moving to AZ. We have been in Arizona for almost six years and I have been searching for a bakery that comes close to Peterson's. I have not found one yet. The bakeries that I have found in Arizona don't have danish sweet rolls. They don't have the same fillings. The Swedish flops are a special treat. Peterson's was a regular stop on my way home from church. If you enjoy fresh bakery goods and are in the Hoffman Estates area you should try them. They are on W Algonquin Road in Hoffman Estates. I hope they will ship to AZ.“

I was nervous ordering a large cake for my mom's 90th birthday party because I just showed them a pic of the party invitation and had to trust that they would make a cake that fit in with the floral theme. This was my first time here, so I had never seen or tasted a cake from this bakery. They did not disappoint! The cake was gorgeous AND delicious. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because calling the bakery to speak with someone was hit or miss. Oftentimes you get a voice message telling you to send an email communication. They may be a little short-staffed and the cakes are not cheap, but for me, it was worth the price. They did a fantastic job and I would definitely recommend this bakery for specialty cakes.“

When I first tried them, I had never had anything quite like them. The confetti and the chocolate chocolate chip flavors are my absolute favorite, but to be honest, you really can't go wrong with any of them. They also have flavors, such as red velvet, lemon, carrot, Reese's chocolate peanut butter, and more. My favorite part of these cakes is that they have the most flavorful and smooth cream cheese frosting. When walking into this particular store, it is always clean and the workers are friendly. It's important to note that this is not a full-service bakery, but they specialize in just bundt cakes. As a result, they sell bundtlets, which are mini bundt cakes for $5.50 each, or you can order them in a tower. They also sell 8" bundt cakes starting at $29 or 10" bundt cakes starting at $39 that can come in a bakery box or wrapped in cellophane. They also have customizable cakes that you can have decorated with specific themes. Being someone in my late 20s, it's been extremely trendy with my age group, especially for everyone's baby showers and wedding showers. Overall, I highly recommend it! You won't be disappointed.“

As we were walking down the hall, we stumbled upon Molly's Cupcakes and decided to give it a look. All it took to convince us to try one was seeing a chocolate filled, chocolate cupcake. We tried the Chocolate Decadence aka Chocolate Mousse (Chocolate cake filled with chocolate mousse topped with chocolate ganache and chocolate curls) and the Ron Bennington aka Chocolate Peanutbutter (Chocolate cake filled with peanut butter, topped with chocolate ganache and Butterfinger pieces). We took them home to try instead of sitting in the reserved seating area next to the serving area. The cupcakes were moist, and the frosting and filling were rich. I recommend Molly's Cupcakes for an exceptional cupcake experience.“
