Penang Malaysian Cuisine Reviews
Very good and tasty food. Friendly service. Loved the sweet and sour shrimp..
I have been eating at Penang since I was 8 years old and I’m 22 now! I grew up eating at many different Malaysian restaurants and Penang is my favorite by far. I drive an hour each way to get the food and it’s always worth it. Annie and Kate are always so welcoming and kind and make us feel very at home. I have brought so many friends from all over the country, and every time they are astounded by the incredible flavors in the food. I always reccomend the Roti Canai,...read full review
Really authentic flavors and delicious menu to satisfy the Malaysian palate- also has authentic Chinese dishes!
Very much cooking away from home - if you're from the Far East.
Honestly much better flavors than any downtown venue serving these ethnic dishes imhe! The Atmosphere is casual.... not necessary to dress-up!

Penang Malaysian Cuisine serves authentic and delicious Malaysian food, featuring highly recommended dishes like roti canai, ginger chicken, noodle dishes, and curries. The restaurant offers a relaxing ambiance, friendly service, and ample parking. Vegetarian options are available, and it is a kid-friendly space. Guests can enjoy a variety of dishes, including satays, yam pot, and Thai entrees, as well as desserts like coconut pudding and cendol.
Recent reviews highlight the importance of trying authentic Malaysian dishes rather than opting for Chinese or Thai alternatives. Diners have praised the roti canai for its flaky and soft texture and the char kway teow duck egg for its right amount of chew. The Penang har mee received mixed reviews but was still considered good, while the curry laksa was particularly enjoyed for its milky texture. Other meals like the Hainanese chicken and Panang curry with shrimp also received positive feedback. While some found the service could improve, the overall experience remains enjoyable, with a welcoming staff and a range of flavors that capture the essence of traditional Malaysian cooking.
