I forgot the baristas name, but the gentleman who helped me out was so friendly and offered suggestions on what to order, held a quick conversation, and the basic cold brew concoction I ordered was delicious.

“Went to sweet peas in Geneseo for dinner tonight and it was worth the small drive because our food was amazing 🤤 Our server Tammy was exceptional she knew the menu and recommended for me to get the burger of the month it's a fried pickle burger which came w the best applewood bacon, fried pickles, cheddar cheese and a side of the best beer cheese I've ever had plus I got a side of waffle fries which is one of their top sellers and I def understand why. My daughter got the jalapeño popper burger w an amazing raspberry sauce on it and a side of ranch potato salad. My sister got a bowl of chicken/ sausage /rice gumbo that was so good and flavorful she got more to go lol The whole experience was wonderful!”

“I took a little drive this morning to explore the back roads and found a pleasant little family-owned diner in downtown Geneseo. All of the wait staff were extremely friendly, polite, and accommodating, the environs were very clean and well-maintained. I ordered the Ham and Cheese Scone with choice of eggs and sausage gravy which was delicious! The scone was appropriately dense (as a proper scone should be), and the ham and cheddar cheese added depth and a savoury quality that really balanced out the entrée. The sausage gravy was obviously made from scratch, (unlike most restaurants these days), and had wonderful seasoning and a generous amount of sausage mixed in! Despite a fair distance, (30 miles), I will be sure to return soon to try out their other offerings! Thank you State Street Cafe for a fantastic breakfast (and a delicious dining alternative to the mediocre dining options offered here in Moline/ Rock Island)! I'll be back soon!”

“I always liked getting the Energy Drinks but I recently went to a wedding and had some of the best cake Iv had in my life. I asked the bride where she got her cake and told me it was from Caffeine and Carbs. It was so good I order the exact same vanilla cake for Father’s Day and it was just as good. I’m not a big coffee drinker but my coworker loves the coffee and I trust her opinion. So if your looking for an energy drink, coffee, or something sweet( I recommend the cake). This is the place to go!”

“I placed an order for my daughter's baby shower for 40 guests. Everything was perfect. I definitely recommend this place for your events. The cheese dip was the most talked about because it was amazing. We also got sandwiches and pasta salad. It was all delicious.”

“What a wonderful, long standing, fan favorite in Geneseo. They make coffees, smoothies, Italian sodas, chai, and a few other drinks. Their fudge is to die for especially their signature fudge! It's located downtown and is near other shops and cafes worth checking out. They also have weekly specials and daily treats. Along with their punch cards, it's worth stopping in. Highly recommend a strawberry, watermelon, passion fruit smoothie or root beer Italian soda.”

“Jennifer is the one who makes this subway worth stopping for! She’s been my sandwich artist twice now truly makes it an art form, everything is so carefully placed and spaced that it feels like you’re about to eat something gourmet. You can tell she’s worked fancier food jobs than this one by her rapport and bangin’ service, Subway is lucky to have her and so is every person she serves. She even remembered me and my friend from the last time we ate here over a month before. The woman is a sandwich saint. 13/10 if she’s working, I’m not one to review fast food most of the time but she keeps me coming back ♥️”

“Had a reservation for 12 people birthday party Nov 6 th for me. Table was ready when we arrived, food, chips , salsa, drinks, atmosphere, pricing, and service all amazing!!! “We have a Friday night dinner group at Leamans. Everything on the menu is fantastic from their chicken strips to ribeye to grilled tenderloin. The burgers are the best in the area and the curly fries are my favorite. The ambience is always the best and beverages are priced just right. We prefer the Absolute and cranberry. We always have between 8 and 20 people and the service is great. Kendra is a scream. A must to try.”

“Onion rings are to die for! The best onion rings around, stacked in a little tower, with ranch dressing type sauce for them - scrumptious! I had the cheeseburger, which was okay, a little dry, and my husband had a Reuben that he couldn't finish.”

“Had my moms 80'th Birthday Party here tonight. 24 people there. Our waitress did a great job. We definitely kept her busy. My wife and I ordered French onion soup, Filet Mignon cooked to medium perfection. Fried chicken that was also perfectly cooked golden brown, with a delicious salad and baked potato. This was our 5th or 6th time here. Always great food and service. The steak was phenomenal. We will definitely be back.”

“I have been going here more than 15 years and always enjoy an opportunity to return. I look for consistency in food taste and that is why I enjoy it. I know what I'm getting always especially on the buffet. I can't speak to take out but be patient for food to be refilled on buffet and you can't go wrong. More food coming as former owner Bill would say. Best hot and sour soup anywhere.”

“I love going to Subway. It's a healthier choice for lunch. I'm not a fan of fried food. But the last few times I have went my order was wrong. First time I PAID extra for extra meat and I did not receive extra at all. matter of fact it was less than regular. Today I ordered my salad with oil and vinegar and they didn't put any on. Try choking that down a dry salad. not happy!!!”

“I live in Indiana and stop at this McDonald's every time I visit my girlfriend in Iowa. Let me start by saying that this is the best McDonald's I've ever been to. I honestly can't remember the last time I've had fast food this good, It reminds me of when I used to get it as a little kid. Over the past few years I feel like quality of McDonalds, in general, has gone down a bit, but apparently this isn't the case in Geneseo, Illinois. All of the employees and customers are so kind, I've never seen anything like it. I feel like I'm at a whole different restaurant compared to one's closer to home.

I will say, I was absolutely devested to learn that the lobby was closed for renovations last week, I'm hoping it's open this weekend.

Other than that, the location is convenient for people traveling on I-80, only being about 30 seconds down the road.”
