Fast Food Restaurants near Auburn

“Went to DQ tonight with my 3 littles and had a great experience. The young staff was very friendly and attentive and kept smiles on my children’s faces.“

“2 cars were there it felt like it took forever and I felt like I was in a Final Destination movie and something bad was about to happen they were not stocked enough to have my wrap and came out to the drive thru to let me know and as the car in front of me exited and I pull up to the window they tell me I can't use my debit card. “My son was given an achievement award at school for a free kids meal. Unfortunately we were given a a coupon that was expired. The manager still accepted the coupon even after telling us it was expired. My son was very proud of getting this award and was soooo excited to get his kids meal. I really appreciate Mr. Scott. Something so simple really made our day, especially my sons. I can’t say thank you enough. Love love love, this location!“

“Back in the late 70's, 1970's that is, a girl I worked with down in Carbondale introduced me to one of my favorite treats, the chocolate-banana malt. Let me tell you that DQ made a terrific one that I have found it difficult to come close to at any other DQ's.

However, within 20 or so miles of me there at least 5 or 6 DQ  locations that I have tried BUT NONE HAVE MATCHED consistently the DQ in Virden, Illinois!!

Let me explain.

For the most part the staff are teenagers, probably still in school (I usually come by this location on the way home after 8pm, or, occasionally I will have lunch there and a supper.)

What makes this location standout are these young adults. I assume they are local, and I'm not faulting anyone else there who are older, it's just that as a group these "kids" (I'm in my late 60's) are some of the most genuine, caring and hard-working individuals you will ever have the fortune to meet.  And by God, they will create the best treats and other food items just the way you want them AND their attitudes are upbeat and positive.

I just can't say enough about them. It's personal for me when it comes to service and the quality of what you order and they deliver!

While I am not riding around on my Honda 350 and stopping by for my chocolate-banana malt like I did 43+ years ago , they make it seem like I am back at SIU-C and living life with a smile.

Thank you Dairy Queen in Virden, Illinois for allowing me to not only harken back to a simpler time with good people who aren't angry AND putting a smile on my face while I savor the items I order from you.“

“Not much I can say that folk don’t know about the most popular fast food restaurant in the world. Locally, they employ a lot of teens and it’s typically their first job. Remember this when you want to complain. They’re largely doing their best. The food… it’s McDonald’s so again you all know what it is.“

“Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly and understanding and peaceful only down side is the servers and service people were gross saying they pee on the food and being very rude to customers and they do it behind the managers back and they give u nasty looks.“

“I stopped in today with my daughter. It has been many years since we've dined at this location due to it being out of the way.The employees were great! I encourage my 9 year old to order her food for social practice. The 2 working today were very friendly and helpful.Once one of them heard she had a leopard gecko for a pet, the stories and pet pictures came out. When we left, she asked, "Can we come here again? That guy was really nice!"Great job!
