Ate at Eckerts a few days ago and found some good points and some not so good. Wife had fried chicken and said it was very good. I had their original burger and found it to be dry and rather bad for a hamburger lover all his life. Served with burger was french fries. They were not up to par either and should be changed to a larger cut and fried a few second less. All in all, the dinner was not as expected from a well known restaurant. We came to the area for a wedding, traveled from Michigan. Based on the reviews, and wanting to try something different than a big chain restaurant, we made a point of making the Erkert's -Belleville Country Restaurant our stop for breakfast on the way north on 8/6/2023.
