Had a great lunch.
Was there for gathering after funeral. Had private room with buffet. Everything was great.
I put in a pick up order at 4:07pm on a Sunday, fully anticipating to grab and go. Pickup time was slated for 4:35pm. I arrived somewhere around 4:40pm and go inside. I’m told by the person at the counter that it’s not ready yet. I stand to wait (awkwardly) as there are several groups of people seated on the bench. Another staff member comes around about 4:53pm with multiple bags, handing those out to the folks seated. They leave and I go to sit. I’ve not had anyone speak to me this whole time regarding the status of the order made almost an hour ago. At one point, there were 5 staff members standing at the counter, most checking their cell phones. At 5:12, I asked the person at the counter if I could get a status update on the order, as it is now over an hour since the order was placed and confirmed received. I finally am able to leave with my order and an apology for my wait at 5:20pm. The food was disappointing, and certainly not a good value for the extensive wait and for the price. I could have gone to a chain restaurant for similar price and quality and been home quite a bit sooner. It seems like quality of experience and food has gone down over the years based on the reviews here and little has been done to amend that, despite responses to their more negative reviews. I usually give a place a few chances before I’ll leave a negative review, but this seems to be an ongoing problem for this location.
My food was awful! My Dad got food poisoning and was sick 🤮 for 3 days!
Pies delicious. Bought rhubarb pie yuuuum
Just moved here about a year ago I heard this place had great fried chicken, well I was very disappointed. I didn’t mind the 25 minute wait for our food (party of 2) but for almost $15 I expected more food. I received a thigh and a leg, very small mashed potatoes and green beans. No bread or biscuits because you have to pay extra for that. (What a joke). EVERY restaurant gives you biscuits or muffins for free with a chicken dinner.
The chicken itself was very bland and greasy. I thought the “green beans” were spinach because they were flat and I guessed stored in a steamer for a very long time. Not fresh at all.
The gravy was very very thick like a paste. But I did like the mashed potatoes. The waitress was very slow on refills and I know accidents happen but when you drop a knife and it hits a customer at least apologize.
Hard pass won’t return.
We made a reservation for 5 on a Friday. The food was over $100 and was luke-warm, and completely bland. The chicken and dumplings tasted like someone threw pillsbury biscuit dough into chicken broth. Too expensive for what it is. Eat somewhere else.

Lovely grocery store with unique items. I bought biscuits, jam, apple cider, blackberry cider, apple cider, and smoked summer sausage. All were very good and the staff is very friendly. Oh, great cheesecake too!
The restaurant was ok. Waitress wasn't very friendly, potatoes were barely warm. They were also hosting breakfast with Santa in another room. They were kind enough to come into the regular dining area and pose with kids of all ages.

Eckert's has always been fantastic and great for large parties. Food is always delicious, the service is wonderful. The atmosphere has a country feel as you would expect on a farm.
I downed one star not for the quality, but the quantity. The portions do seem smaller, but the price is higher, like everywhere.
They used to serve a deep fried bread with apple butter with every meal. Now you have to buy it and they use biscuits now, which are not close to the same for me.
They seem to be doing well and expanding their offerings around the farm, but take away the little benefits.

Food was amazing. Only complaint is the kids got the chicken kids meal and it's so small. The wing was little and barely had meat on it.
On November 30,2024 my daughter and I stopped in for lunch. We both ordered chicken and dumplings and ice tea. I got the scone she got a biscuit. The salad was limp and small diced pieces of cucumber. The chicken and dumplings was a clear broth mostly tasteless and NO chicken but the bowel was full of dumplings. Scone while tasty was very small. All this for just under 40.00. We felt ripped off. I reached out to them privately but no answer. We have been going here for years and it’s always been excellent. What happened?
Went with family. I had the grilled catfish way too salty, asked for roasted sweet potatoes( when my meal came out told me they didn’t have potatoes no other option offered to me but I received fries). The food was mediocre. 2 had salads. They were good. 2 chicken dinners they loved them. Pot pie was so so. Had biscuits for an appetizer. She brought a basket of 4. There were 7 of us. Didn’t explain a basket was 4. We ordered another basket. Our waitress was sweet. Best part of our trip was the cool cider shed and of course the bakery items.
