Eckert's is the go to place for a fall experience. Not only is the cider amazing but be sure to take the tractor wagon ride to pick fresh delicious Fuji apples & the plumpest pumpkin in the field! After our picking, we went to the Country Restaurant to enjoy lunch. You can't beat a fresh homemade meal!
We came for the Breakfast with Santa event. We made the 8:30 reservation so it was not crowded at all. Very few families were here when we arrived. It was perfect for an individual visit from Santa and Mrs Claus. They walk to your table, chat and take a picture. This is perfect for shy kids or kids who can't wait in line. We decided on dinner after a stop at the market for a Dutch apple pie. A couple of years ago we had the family style fried chicken dinner and it was lacking in size of chicken pieces along with all the sides were out of a can (corn and green beans). That was not the case this time. The fried chicken was hot and juicy, terrific flavor and crust, our sides of mashed potatoes and fried okra were both delicious also. Good stuff for $26 2/23/24....pics included
