La Malquerida offers a relaxed and fun atmosphere with a nice interior and plenty of seating. Parking is easy along the train tracks across the street, with free parking after 6 pm on Fridays and possibly weekends. The table is easily reserved online with no issues on Open Table. The service is stellar, prompt, attentive and friendly, giving suggestions and answering any questions. The drinks are imaginative, with cocktails such as La Malagueña and Cielito Lindo, and the bar also serves water. The food has Latin flair taken up a notch, very well done and delicious. Highlights include the pulpo appetizer, beef and steak cooked well‑done, lava cake, churro cheesecake and a complimentary dessert for a birthday. The older gentleman server is kind and patient, and the server makes the party feel full and happy. Although the party noted a wait for drink orders and a longer wait for food, the overall experience is excellent. Bellies leave full, and many plan to return again for another date night.
