“Back when I lived in the area, Irish Times had just opened and I stopped in to have a Guinness. Now, I have had Guinness all over the Chicago area and never has a Chicago pint ever approached the magical, otherworldly flavor of a pint consumed in Ireland. I don't know if it's the water, the proximity to the brewery or just some kind of strange magic that happens to Guinness in Ireland, but I've never had better. That all changed when I drank that first pint at Irish Times. It was easily the best pint of Guinness I've had outside the Emerald Isle. I've since left the area and have had pints all over the United States and Canada. Nothing has approached the quality, freshness and taste of the Guinness at Irish Times in Brookfield. If you are lucky enough to be nearby, don't hesitate to make a detour to the pub. You will not regret it.“

“Finally treated ourselves - not disappointed!! Hubby got the chicken piccante & I had the chicken marsala - both were excellent! The pasta fagioli was so good we got a quart to take home. The service and atmosphere were also great - we will definitely be back!!“

“Where to begin about this hidden gem of an Irish pub located on the southwest side of Chicago? Having recently returned from a trip to Ireland, Scotland in the UK, I am very familiar of what a proper Irish pub is like. I also need to say that I have been all over North America and most of Europe and have been to hundreds if not thousands of bars. The twisted shamrock knocks the ball out of the park on all accounts, atmosphere, service and cleanliness. The drinks are absolutely superb, from a excellent old fashioned to a properly poured black and tan. My wife had a Christmas cocktail which she said was just Divine. The bartender there, shorter guy with a beard is one of the finest bartenders I've ever encountered. His knowledge of sports and cocktails is second to none. A few ladies who are sitting at the end of the bar were saying how he is very easy on the eyes (Don't ask me I don't swing that way 🙂). I wish I would have gotten his name so I could give accolades or accolades are due. The crowd was mixed and lively. From old to Young, everyone was welcome and having a good time.“

“The karaoke on Sunday is a lot of fun! The man who runs it has a lot of music! In the beginning if it is slow he will let people do a few songs in a row. But he is also very fair. So once it’s getting busy he will space it out and get everyone in but I have never been to a place that would allow that. He is a great singer himself so I guess he enjoys taking care of people and allowing them to warm up when it’s slow. That’s cool! And the people who come are damn good singers and nice. There are no divas here but some damn good talent. A rare gem!“

“We loved the ambiance of this Irish Pub! The Christmas decor and lights make it a wonderland! The band was great and the pub has so much charm!

This all made up for the 3 bartenders who were more worried about talking to their friends than waiting on customers. We waited 20 min, as did customers next to us, staff looked right at us and kept talking to their friends. A bartender with curly hair- she actually scowled at us for asking to place a drink order. Exception was one bartender who had very long straight dark brown hair: she was awesome and was doing all of the others work with a huge smile on her face! She was great! It was a busy night that the restaurant could have had higher cash flow if the others focused on drink orders. We'll be back though, really great place!“

“This place kind of reminds me of Cheers... what food is fresh, hot, amazing the servers are super friendly animated and it's probably the best restaurant I've been to since before covid. I recommend asking for Tyler if he's on dudy for a server. Also there's a server named Izzy who is like really nice and I kind of wish we could have had two servers cuz they all act like family can't find a place like that anymore.“

“I’m new to the neighborhood and absolutely love the vibe of Boozehound. It’s exactly what you want - local, great menu, good prices and a dartboard in the back. Very unfortunately, however, there is a regular at this bar who told a member of my group that he hates gay people, and he hates black people (he used the N word to say this). We had both types of people in our group. I hesitate to reduce what would be a glowing review due to a customer, but I do not feel safe or interested in going somewhere where an attitude like this can be comfortably expressed.“

“We held a celebration of life for my brother here today. About 50 in attendance in the stylish, comfortable upstairs area. Despite the fact that I planned this from 400 miles away and without having ever seen the venue, it went off without a hitch due to Mr. David Candiotti and his staff. No surprises. Everything was as promised. The venue is extremely stylish and rustic. Food was delicious and plentiful as were the drinks. Service was fast, efficient and friendly thanks to Mona, Alberto and Olena.
