“Stopped by today for carry out, our first time ordering from Wildfire Pizza. We’re already planning our next visit. The potato soup was just perfect, absolutely delicious. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his calzone. Our Neapolitan pizza was cook just right and it was obviously made with fresh ingredients and lots of care. Very reasonably priced. Friendly atmosphere from the owner and staff. Highly recommend!”

Thanks Kinos for all you do for our little communities around Paxton & I’m sure your impact far surpasses your intentions! ❤️Parking: As long as it’s not 7-7:30am you should be good but even then it’s worth the extra little walk for their espresso & turkey and cheese sandwiches with their specialty mustard. ?Kid-friendliness: Little toys by the register couch area, little games on the tables and so much space to just enjoy a coffee with your mama friends! Mine are all a little too old to want to play with the toys but my best friends little boy LOVES his Kino time! Wheelchair accessibility: Haven’t tried to get a wheelchair in however the doors look plenty wide enough and the entrance is a ramp style entrance so no stairs!”

“Our Google GPS took us on a ten minute tour of Paxton (which has a nostalgic downtown) before taking us to the Paxton Family Restaurant which is actually just a few seconds west of the I-57 exit!The building is non- descript from the outside, but the atmosphere inside is small-town warm and friendly. Bree, our server, was quick to offer Specials and advice. I ordered the Italian Beef and fries, because in my experience, it tells a lot about a restaurant. It was very good, REAL beef roast, not some paper-thin slices of processed meat. The beef was tasty, piled high, covered with cheese, and tender. It was one of the best I've had! It was served with au-jus and thick fries.I was also given a big slice of a three layer chocolate cake because it was my birthday!We make the trip to Champaign often and will make the Paxton Family Restaurant a frequent stop! It was everything you hope to find in a rural, home-town restaurant!”

“Artesia is a great brewery out in the country. Our latest visit was for Oktoberfest. They had great in house German beer selections, food catered in by a local German restaurant and music. We try to make it there at least 2 times per month.”

“Very classy and friendly staff. We were there for a retirement party of my boyfriend's co-worker. 30 + years working for the Ludlow Co-op. The eclectic atmosphere set a trendy city mood yet was not over the top unwelcoming for the blue collar farmers. Wine is a little more pricy but well worth extending the budget for occasionally.”

“Backwoods Diner took over after the owners of Happy Days Diner retired and continued to cook excellent meals. They have daily specials and still serve breakfast and lunch. In addition to their great food, the owner does custom baking, which is also awesome. If you are looking for a birthday cake or 3 dozen cookies, she's your lady. If you're looking for a cozy little diner off the beaten path, check out Backwoods Diner. You won't be disappointed.”

“I luv trying new places/hole in the wall dinners/anything small town because it's a hit or miss, and as a trucker that's been erywere in the United States, I stumbled in because of my girls brother while visiting. I always try a different place while visiting him and always try/order wat their known for. But this place right here lol I luv it. The food was great, their special sauce was amazing, and the hostess chick Heather was so perfect that I got a complete experience with my girl and her brother that I had to leave a review wit 5*****s. Anyways, this place is Def a hit and any1 passing thru while checking out reviews, if it's a little out of ur way but still comes up on ur maps, trust me n take this detour, sum small town places and small town people like this place n Heather will leave u a lifetime of smiles and I've been erywere as a trucker. “Just had the pleasure of visiting Roberts , Il…..The Lawless Bar.What a nice, friendly place! I am from out of town, ( Chicago) and met a couple there. The owner completely remodeled the bar to a very comfortable and relaxing setting!Owner Pam and her fiancé Vic run the place and immediately you feel at home!Great conversation, had a pizza and good wine, and really enjoyed everything about it.Very small town, but well worth the stop!Definitely will be returning! ???”

“I delivered a refrigerator here and the owner offered me a sandwich. Not one to turn down a Polish sandwich, I accepted his offer. The sandwich was incredible and the fries were great as well. Very nice people. I will definitely have to come back.”

“Here's a nice little bar and grill to come to when your tired of the big town bars. They have good food, cold beer, mixed drinks, gambling machines and an outdoor deck. We came up on a night where they had a band on the deck and it turned out nice.”

“My 5-star review shouldn't be misconstrued as meaning this is elevated, fancy Mexican or deeply authentic kind of cuisine, but for what it is it's great! It's spacious, incredibly clean, festive, fun decor, extensive menu, vegetarian friendly, flavorful - warm, delicious chips with tasty salsa, yummy, warm, soft tortillas... I'm a super picky eater and they adjusted my dish to my exact specifications. No mistakes, all questions answered carefully. Big, clean bathrooms. I had veggie fajitas, hubby had Pueblo Lindo fajitas, which included steak, chicken, and shrimp. What more could you ask for? We'll be back next time we drive to Champaign.”

“I uploaded pictures of their new menu unfortunately both items we wanted off the menu we found are no longer an option at Franci's pizza in Onarga, IL. I had the Italian beef, and it was not bad. It definitely was no portillo's, but for Onarga definitely not bad. My wife had the veggie pizza, and she said it was good. I ate a piece and it wasn't bad, but for the price I would do Monicals instead. We were in town visiting family, and they absolutely love the deep dish pizza here, so maybe that's where the gem is at. Overall this place is worth giving a shot for sure especially if you live in Onarga.”

“Best subway experience Iv had in a LONG time. Was there 8/18/23 at 130 in the afternoon. The Lady who served me deserves a raise! Promote her to manager! She did it all By The Book! Even remembered to ask if I wanted parm on the sub. I even got 2 napkins in my to go bag!!! Sub ways are always stingy with napkins. Not this one! Great Job. I'll be back.”
