“I placed an order to go. Was informed that there was a $3.00 to go charge and a gratuity would be added on the order cause it was over $100.00. After I checked the receipt, $18.35 was the gratuity. I thought it would be maybe $5.00. Very disappointed. Had I known this, I would have come into the restaurant and ate there had them provide me with service. I am a senior and that was definetly not right. I've already instructed my family not to get me gift card from Maple and Jam.“

“My God, this sangwich will make you feel that things might just be ok and forget for a moment what a dumpster fire of a time we live in. The lamination! Look at these luscious layers of pastry hugging eggs and some crispy plancha sausage! Look at them! Few things are perfect or capable of changing your life. I ordered a capp with an extra shot of espresso, oat milk, and their seasonal apple spice syrup. Perfectly balanced (I even forgot to ask for it half-sweet, like I usually do, but my coffee still tasted like coffee, not like straight sugar 🙌🏼 - much appreciated!!)

Coffee was quick to come up, and there’s plenty of street parking in this sparse industrial neighborhood.

“This breakfast place is top notch. They are very creative with their dishes, and it should be a crime not to order their pancakes. Wildberry was right next to my hotel, and was very nice to walk to and eat in the morning, plus the service was decently quick. They serve large portions and you will not leave feeling hungry. Note, the wait time later in the morning can get a little longer, but overall great experience.“

“TARY is a fantastic little cafe located in the heart of Chicago’s River North neighborhood, offering what seems to be fusion between traditional Kazakh klassics and modern American cooking styles.

I must admit, the rustic decor and furnishings really does make you feel like you’ve stepped foot into a little Kazakh babushka’s living room!

I would absolutely recommend their iced matcha latte with a touch of vanilla syrup. It’s super smooth and pairs amazingly with their luxurious cinnamon roll that’s served on soft, pillowy bread and topped with cream cheese that adds a delicious refreshing factor.

I also highly recommend their scrambled eggs on brioche, they are extra soft and melt in your mouth while the brioche bread is the excellent vehicle for transporting those delicate little eggs down the goblet!“

“My food was prepared very efficiently. I got the samosa chaat. Big flavor, nice and spicy. The spices and citrus balanced the dish perfectly. My server Shanu helped me decide what to get, since I'm a little unfamiliar with this chaat. Their desserts (the one with cottage cheese) and chai are great too. Would recommend to anyone!“

“This is my first time here, and I have to say I absolutely love the atmosphere! It is so pretty inside and it's so clean. The staff was super nice.
The only negative thing that I could say was that it did take a long time to get the food even though we were the only ones in there and for what we bought it was really expensive. I thought we were going to get these like full sandwiches and they were these little tiny bitty appetizers.
We also ordered drinks the refreshers and they were so good. I highly suggest to get them with water not with lemonade because they are very sweet. But my first time there and I definitely will be going back. Also you can sign up for points and earn free food.

“We loved talking with the helpful man behind the counter. He took the time to explain the various chocolates that they sell. The way in which the fabricating of the chocolate is controlled in such a richly authentic way won me over. My granddaughter loved the samples that we were given. “Came upon this place today! I had a decaf honey bee latte. It’s got a heavy honey taste and surprisingly not that sweet given the honey in it.

I also had the breakfast quesadilla. Would have been nice if there was a bit more like maybe a side of guacamole in addition to sour cream and salsa. It was super heavy on the cheese.

“We went to Chinatown and visited this place and got their rolled ice cream. I think the ice cream is very good with pretty big portions. I got 4 different ones and all of them were good but the favorite was the strawberry mango cuz of the fresh mango and strawberries on it. Personally although there were a lot of people, the wait time was not too long.“

I had been to this bakery before and meant to order from here, but didn’t realize there was a very similarly named place in Bridgeport. They explained the difference to me and gave us some free goodies. We also ordered chilaquiles and a sandwich + soup, which were delicious.“
