“I love authentic Jamaican food, and when I see The Caribbean Hut Food Truck parked in the parking lot of the Staples store in Carbondale, IL, I always stop for some good food. The owner, Freeman, brings the flavors from his restaurant located at 300 S Maple, Cambria, IL 62915, to Carbondale and surrounding areas on the food truck. Let me tell you something: the food is fresh, hot, and flavorful! The service is always friendly and prompt, the ambiance created by eager customers is lovely, and the portion sizes are plentiful. I can usually eat my meals for two days. The food truck menu varies weekly, and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend you stop by when you see this little food truck in town or head to the restaurant. When you go by, tell them Kindra Speech sent ya!”

That said, we did have to wait a bit to be seated, and the restaurant was really busy, so the service felt a bit slow and scattered at times. It’s understandable given how packed they were, but it did impact the overall experience slightly. Still, if you're not in a rush and want a tasty meal, it's worth a visit.”

“I recommend everything about this establishment. I made reservations, requesting a table arrangement for a group of women who get together once a month for lunch, and I couldn't have been more pleased. Our waitress, Kayla, did an outstanding job of catering to our every need, going over and beyond for us. The food was wonderful, and the portions were plenty. If anyone walks out, still hungry, somethings wrong. lol I'm sure our ladies will be going there again. Thank you Nikki, Kayla, and all who helped, for being so kind.”

“We love ordering from Newby’s. The food is always hot and delicious. The salads are huge and bagged separately so it is cold. Pizza, subs and wings are all great. Sorry the picture had to come after we started eating. 😆”

The night was made even more special with the attention to detail given to the special occasion. Our table had beautiful fresh flowers along with a kind handwritten note. “I love to try new (to me), local eateries and this place did not disappoint. The burgers were amazing, fries were OK, but I'm not a fan of shoestring and that's not their fault. But what stole the show..... the corn nuggets.

FYI, the amount spent was due to shakes and ordering a few extras to try. Easily a $15 to $20 meal normally.”
