“Was a great experience especially being there the last hour before they closed. They have pool tables, they have great food though because have ordered from there before and picked up food. They have music you can pick out!! They had bloody Marys that were on deal and were really good and came with a green olive, pickle, a green bean. “I'm not from around these parts, and I wanted to try a local place so I could review it. Well at 3pm on a Saturday, I could not find a place to serve me that had a full menu. The nearby Mexican place was serving, but I had Mexican recently. One place stopped serving at 2 and started serving at 4, a buffet was throwing their food out to prepare for dinner, and most bars had a very limited menu. Why is it is hard to find food at 3pm on a Saturday This place didn't had food either, but they were hosting a local fundraiser/bakesale for a family who suffered a major health problem, and I got lucky with my food. I digress, time to actually review this place. I like the fact that the owners are willing to lend their small venue area for a fundraiser. There were some musicians loading in speakers, so it's cool that they have live music too. This place has a bunch of Dart Boards and actually was hosting a dart tournament too. There are electronic slots too if that's your thing. Coming from Chicago, I was pleasantly happy with the prices. $3 for well rum and coke. Even lower during a special if I read a sign correctly. They had a few smaller TVs playing the Cubs game (in standard definition, what year is this??). In the end, I didn't have much interaction with services and consumables provided by this place. It lost a star due to SD sports, and the fact that everyone glared at me when I walked in, something that usually happens to me when I walk into country bars. But it seems like a nice place, cheap prices and wiling to help the local community, which is great.“
“OTO is the only place in my life have I ever said I love that burger. I had the breakfast burger on Texas toast let me tell you all I do not like hamburger and That was the best burger I have ever had in my life. I bring ? with this one. I recommend if you are in my hometown stop by there and try there burgers you will not be disappointed. The waitress was super nice service was fast and very friendly environment. “Great place to eat at, comfortable atmosphere. Only complaint is the portion you get for spicy green beans seems small for the price it is. Burgers and drinks were great. Recommended place to eat at around there.Parking: Plenty of room to park at.“
“Great friendly local bar. The Nickel Plate is a clean establishment with multiple TV’s to watch a variety of sporting events, gambling and a pool table. The new owners have done a great job with all the upgrades along with making it a welcoming environment for everyone!“
“Betty is a sweet and interesting lady. Fun to talk with. Loved the spaghetti dinner inspite of her not telling us what gave the sauce a kick. Told my wife and she has a guess. I bet she's right. Neat little place in the middle of nowhere and a definite return trip. All the guys in our bike group will be coming back.“
“The food was alright. Nothing spectacular. I got the Jack n Coke BBQ burger which was good, but dry. They didn't put enough BBQ on it. Everything was very hot though. My friend got the jalapeños burger which she loved, but said it was definitely the hottest sandwich she has ever had. And we got the 4 choice appetizer platter which Everything on it was delicious and hot.“
