Bad experience, hired in Dec. 22 for a plated sit down rehearsal dinner and coordinator on 6/2/23. Communication was bad throughout the months and the service was bad. The coordinator did not show up on the requested visit that we had, so we cancelled that service and found someone else in April, should have cancelled the catering service also. One hour before the event on 6/2/23 received a call from Ms. Child’s saying that her server was in an accident and that we would have to serve ourselves. She was dropping off the food because she had another event. The food was dropped off and she did not leave any gloves or hand sanitizer., and the burners were turned up high. We had requested pasta with chicken and shrimp as the protein. The pasta was hard and the shrimp were so tiny, not what I expected. Also we had requested 3 chicken strips each and fries for the eight children in the wedding. The chicken was some type of balls and were hard and burned. Oh did I mention that this was a destination wedding. We traveled from Missouri and Tennessee. My point in mentioning the wedding is that all the locals of Carbondale praised her highly. I guess you have to be a local to get good service. Attended a wedding meet and great on June 2 using this caterer. Ms. Childs called to inform us the server was not available due to a car accident and that she was attending another event. Expected to see Ms. Childs during the evening, as she stated on the call made to us. We not only had to serve the food ourselves but we never saw the caterer to get an apology for the poor food quality and lack of anticipated services provided. Understand staffing was an issue, but at least we expected to meet the caterer. The food was dropped off at the venue and burners placed on the food unattended. Even when the supplies were picked up during the event Ms. Childs never spoke with the family or asked if we needed anything. We did not even know she was there. Food quality was horrible. Pasta was dry and chicken rounds (supposed to be chicken tenders) were burnt and inedible. This caterer came highly recommend by the locals, wish this review matched the word of mouth provided to us. Hope this does not happen to anyone else.

Catered our wedding. Brisket, fried chicken, green beans, Mac & cheese, salad and cake. Everything was fantastic. Guests raved about the food!

100% recommend Naomi Ariel Catering! I booked them for a graduation party. They were so accommodating to my tight budget and the food was fantastic! I asked for enough to feed 30 people, but there was so much extra so my guests could get seconds (and a few of them thirds)! We had the chicken alfredo pasta and I can honestly say it was the best chicken alfredo I've ever had. And the server (I am so sorry, I forget her name) was incredible. She was so nice and attentive and helped make dinner amazing. 10/10 recommend.

My husband and I hired Carla for our wedding and knew from the beginning that we made the right choice. It wasn’t until we had our tasting a few weeks before the wedding and then got the glowing reviews from our wedding guests during and after the reception about how insanely good the food was, that we knew just how right our choice was. I think every single guest at our wedding loved the food and complimented it and the service provided by Carla and her team. We really could not have been happier with our choice. We got the perfect fried chicken, Mac and cheese, green beans, mashed potatoes, and ham with some salad. Even the appetizers she provided for the wedding party were gorgeous and fresh. Carla is an amazing caterer. She catered my outdoor camping wedding. We ordered fried chicken, stuffed peppers, Mac and cheese and salad. Everything tasted amazing. We also got the most beautiful and reasonably priced small wedding cake for our party of 18. Carla is so sweet, professional and she also took amazing pictures for us cutting the cake ? you will not be disappointed if you pick Naomi Ariel catering.

Carla is amazing, I was planning a 60th Wedding Anniversary, small Dinner Party. I was coming to Carbondale from Ohio, due to the fact I had never been to Carbondale, I felt like a fish out of water, trying to find a keyboard player, coming up with a menu, etc. I am so happy to have found Carla, she stepped right in and took so much pressure off of me. She was professional and very patient and Kind. She went above and beyond to make my Event Successful. The Menu was great, her Beef Wellington was superb. She also found me a keyboard player who was excellent (Mel Goot). I would definitely recommend her. She was a pleasure to work with. Thank you, Carla

Naomi Ariel and her team were AMAZING! They took great care of our non-profit event, delivered an astounding spread and drew comment after comment of “wow” from our guests. I cannot express this enough, make sure you don’t book a catering event in Southern Illinois with out talking to this caterer!
