We came upon it driving to/from SIU for a weekend student activity and we immediately charmed by its decor and atmosphere. We surveyed an extensive menu and all chose steaks that were uniquely prepared. They were exquisite, along with salad and soup beginnings (the mushroom soup was the best I've ever eaten). Wonderful, attentive service by our waitperson made for a real charming first-time visit. Congrats to the entire team! These Chicagoland visitors will be returning.
We found this restaurant while staying at Giant City State lodge. Good food, service and atmosphere. I had the salmon, mashed potatoes and asparagus. All well prepared and satisfying. In all fairness, I didn't think this restaurant was that upscale.

Went for my sister's graduation and the food was excellent as was the wait staff. Everyone got either prime rib (so good) or the filet. Not a huge by the glass wine selection but it was all good.
