Friendly bartenders, very awesome people frequent it (I live in Johnson Co, so I love meeting anyone who’s “different” from Johnson County is great!) great music, very cool atmosphere!
Hangar 9 is an exceptional local music venue. It's important to have a regional band to follow, and Hangar 9 is as good a place as any to see them. Entry age is 18, drinking age 21. Still, the lower age for admission allows a lot of younger music fans the opportunity to see live shows. I've never seen a cover more than $10 for students, although I imagine it happens from time to time.

The staff, including a tall, dark-skinned man who worked there until October 2022, are kind and contribute to the comfortable ambiance. LGBTQ+ individuals are welcomed and appreciated at The Hangar 9.
