“Lots of vegan options! Employees were very friendly. The fried tofu with penut sauce was amazing, the cucumber salad was really good, you just have to substitute the sauce for a sweet vinegar sauce to make it vegan. The prices were very reasonable, highly recommend!“

“We’ve had a great experience at the Krystal Thai restaurant on a cold Winter night.
We started with a delicious hot Thai tea, with delicate notes of vanilla and we ordered a sampler platter as an appetizer to share. Everything was very fresh and tasty, but the “Crab in a bag” was outstanding. It could be served as an hors d’oeuvre at a diplomatic reception.
Our dinner followed with Mussamun Curry with beef, which was very aromatic and yummy, and Stir Fried Basil with pork, also full of flavor. The spice level was just as we ordered.
The service was friendly and attentive and the decor cozy and authentic.
We’ve moved recently to Crystal Lake IL and I’m happy to have such a nice dining option close to home.

“Dinner | $20–30 Service is very poor here, especially after they hired a new chef who uses garbage ingredients and does not even use the ingredients that is listed on the food description. We ordered the basil Thai rice with chicken after having a good experience the first time with nice large pieces of white meat chicken. Well sadly the second time instead of using chicken, they put a bunch of mushrooms and there are not supposed to be any mushrooms in there and there was not any chicken. So I called and I spoke with Annie, who was supposed to be the manager. She said that I would have my next mail free. So I called today and ordered basil fried rice with chicken. Instead of getting basil fried rice with chicken I got a small container of brown rice plain and then a container of something that looks like ground beef with a few basil, leafs and onion. It was the most disgusting thing I’ve ever had and it was absolutely not basil fried rice. It looked like they ground up chicken organs, and it tasted even worse. I would avoid this place at all cost because clearly they don’t care about quality and service any longer and when they make a big mistake, they double down and make the mistake again and they don’t really care to make things right.“

“We ADORE this place! Every time we walk in, it feels home-y, warm, and welcoming. The atmosphere is so bright and vibrant and really makes me want to stay every time we order out. It’s a refreshing place to walk into during the cold grey Illinois winters.

The food is incredible! We LOVE the Massumun and Panang curry - so flavorful, always hot, and lots of chicken. Some other bangers on their menu is the Pad Woon Sen, Pad See Eiw, Pad Lard Nar, and the Rama Noodles Delight.

But out of everything - you HAVE to get the Panang Noodles - the curry is delicious and velvety and the noodles are just the slightest bit crisped around the edges which makes for a great bite that is always satisfying.

We’ve never gotten any other kind of meat other than chicken which is always plentiful and moist. We love this place and we have to stop ourselves from eating there every week.

The prices are also SO affordable. We just got curry in a neighborhood of Nashville for $24 which was insane and not even close to how delicious this humble shop is.“

“Went here for the first time walked in was greeted right away! The place was nice and clean! I ordered their Shrimp Lo Mein and Beef and Broccoli spent $30 and got back 2 HUGE amounts of dishes. Omg this is enough food for 4 people easily!! I asked them to make it spicy and it’s not spicy to my standard but has a ok kick to it. “I recently tried this Chinese restaurant and was impressed with the food. The chicken in garlic sauce was flavorful, perfectly cooked, and had just the right balance of savory and garlicky kick. The crab rangoons were crispy on the outside with a creamy, delicious filling definitely.
The only downside was that the food took a bit longer than expected to come out. However, the quality and taste made it worth the wait.“
