“Spirit Water is a fantastic low key place with excellent offerings. The owner is super nice and knows his products well and can help you decide on what beverages to try. It's a great place to spend a few hours. Usually has a food truck in the lot, if not you can bring food or have it delivered and eat there. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. They occasionally have live music or other special nights there. Its Family friendly in the early evening and pet friendly all the time. Give it a try ypu won't regret it.“

“i recently had a disappointing experience at a restaurant that I felt compelled to share. I went there for dinner with my fiancée, mother, and our two young kids, ages 3 and 1. Initially, the dinner was fantastic; we were enjoying our time together and the food was great. However, after about an hour and 20 minutes, we were abruptly told we had to leave because of other reservations. This was incredibly frustrating, especially since I still had my drink left, and we had just paid our tab As we were leaving, we encountered a manager and inquired about the situation. To our shock, she responded by asking if we knew how to read English, which felt incredibly rude and unprofessional. I pulled up my reservation online and nowhere does it say there was a time limit. To make matters worse, as we walked through the bar to exit, she followed my mother and physically shoved her three times. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable in any establishment, and it left a sour taste in what could have been a lovely evening. We called the cops to make a report as the manager "lucy" (she told me this was her name) should never be able to touch a customer. Especially since we were not refusing to leave AND my kids were there to witness it all. In the car my son kept asking why the lady pushed my mom . This shouldn't be something I need to answer as it never should have happened. She tried telling the cops she did not have the "intent" to hurt but to get us out . Yet we were not even refusing to leave...only letting her know it was rude as we still had stuff that was unfinished that we paid for. I understand that restaurants have to manage reservations, but there are respectful ways to handle these situations. Additionally, she left it up to the waiter to tell us we had to leave . I won't be returning, and I hope this feedback helps others make an informed decision. And please , if you were in the bar / restaurant when this all happened , speak up on how wrong it was of her to push someone like that.“

“This is one of a few times when I wanted to give the service a 10. When you’re greeted by such a fantastic and smiling cashier, Kaley, who is also the general manager then you know it’s going to be great!

The gyros were fantastic. The fries were some of the best I’ve had in a long time…so fresh! They mistakenly gave my wife regular fries when she wanted sweet potato fries, and switched it out without any complaining and big smiles!

“This place is legit Korean style. It has its own spin to the dishes but all the bowls and burritos are the perfect balance is meat, vegetables and rice. We always get the burritos and bowls. We’ve also tried the chicken katsu and it’s got the best crunch and flavor. The mini steamed mandoo is also so good. Highly recommend this place!!“

“No Wake continues to be a favorite spot of ours. We are always sat quickly, and the service is super friendly. Location is great on the Fox River, and the food is great too! Menu is large with plenty of options for everyone. We have tried multiple appetizers and sandwiches/wraps and enjoyed them all. My husband is a huge fan of the burger which you can tell is made with fresh quality meat. Plenty of seating options inside but we especially enjoy the patio. Bonus points for allowing your pup outside and their own doggy menu is a cute touch.“

“I love getting my morning coffee from Elder + Oat a few times a week. It is a little bit of a haul from my house but totally worth it. Have usually get their monthly seasonal cold brew I have never disliked it. Nicole is the sweetest barista! I highly recommend this cute coffee shop!“

“I just visited Bimbo’s tonight and had an incredible experience that I just had to share. Initially, I ordered a dish, but when it arrived, I realized it wasn’t quite what I was in the mood for. I mentioned this to the staff, and even though their kitchen was already closed for the night, they went above and beyond to make me something new! They were so understanding and accommodating, which really impressed me.

The new dish they prepared for me was absolutely delicious, and it showed how much they care about customer satisfaction. It’s not every day you encounter a restaurant that’s willing to go the extra mile, especially when the kitchen is technically closed. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was welcoming, making it a truly enjoyable dining experience.

Today - based on the owner's recommendation - we started with a cupl of their meat and veggie soup that did not make it on the official menu - sorry missed a photo of it - delish! 😍 Pork, chicken and beef in a savory broth chock full of veggies - carrots, celery, onion 🤤 followed that with the egg salad appetizer, one of our absolute favs 🤩 4 toasted rounds of bread with their excellent egg salad 👍 then we tried the new potato pancakes entree for the first time, which came topped with assorted grilled veggies, plus toast, eggs and hollandaise sauce.. we got the eggs scrambled, rye toast buttered, sauce on the side, and requested a side of sour cream.
