“Stumbled upon this place randomly, and are so glad to have done so! The restaurant is cozy and inviting, the staff is so friendly, and of course, the food is spot on. We ordered the potstickers, bao buns, and beef curry and they were all hits!! Will be coming back.“

“Tonight I decided to venture out and try this restaurant my family has been RAVING about called Al’s Cafe in Downtown Elgin! I sat upstairs and had this lovely server named Marcie! She recommended the monthly special called “Moonstruck” and it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! The ambience, service and food is unmatched! If you are looking for a great night out I highly recommend Al’s Cafe!“

“Sushi Station in Elgin I'd a family go-to for sure! We come all the way from Belvidere frequently to get our favorite items. Fish os always fresh and there's a really nice assortment of them. Huge appetizer menu that never disappoints. Definitely highly recommended!“

“It was uncomfortably loud in the room behind the bar. But the bar area was even louder. I asked the ser we if I could have the fried fish baked. She said that she didn't think so, but she would ask. So I ordered a salad. She brought the salad and the food for the other three at the table. We are. When we were just about finished she brought two very small baked pieces of fish. Hhhhhmmm. I did eat them. They were OK. We have been there before. Not super impressed. I can recommend the fried haddock. It is good.“

“I really enjoyed the outdoor seating. There's plenty of parking in the grass lot too. The bar tender was cool. I fixed the toilet in the women's room for free. The tank was super loose and was leaking a little. I tightened the bolts. ...idk what's wrong with me, but I just can't let that easy repair go. I showed the bar tender what I did so he could inform the owner to tighten them better. Anywho, over all, it's a cool spot.“
