“Great beers (as usual). Tonight’s review is for the featured “food truck” experience the Counting Crow. Full disclosure, we have never tasted CC prior, although online it looks like they regularly service most of the top Independent craft brewers for some time throughout suburban Chicagoland. Given their excellent reviews, was excited to taste. Nope. Didn’t realize their posted 5-7 limited quantities meant exactly that. By 6:00 pm on a warm busy spring Friday evening, CC was already sold out of 2/3rds of their (flash heated on a table top griddle) menu of Pork belly tacos and Shrimp po’boys (on a Friday, in lent)? Which only left the many hungry to enjoy their signature chicken sandwich (original, medium spicy and extra spicy) served with chips. While the sourcing of their chicken breasts (decent size/texture meaty and fried well) was good, their temperature plated was lukewarm and underwhelming. Maybe a pop up on the patio isn’t the best way to promote your food, Idk. Not a fan and can’t recommend. Definitely won’t go out of my way to sample again“

“Recently celebrated a 70th birthday with the D'Alexander family. What a great event. The staff could not have been nicer, and attentive. You only thought you might need something at the table and it would appear out of no where. The food was all home made and you could tell made from traditional old recipes and a lot of love thrown in. You feel like you are in a small cafe in Italy. If you want a great Italian dining experience please take the time to enjoy Made In Italy, because my wife and I plan to go back.“

“Randomly found this restaurant on google maps driving from the city to burbs in search for a place that makes jjajangmyun, my mom’s favorite. Ordered a bunch of items and picked up. Sat inside to wait for them to finish my order and I loved the small mom and pop random design, comfortable feel. Food - Everything was delicious. Price - very reasonable for what you get. I’d have to argue the best jjajangmyun in Chicago - I mixed the kan-jjajang and jjajangmyun together. This will be the go to spot to pick up for me whenever I head to the suburbs. 🚀🙏“

The ambiance of the dining room was also noteworthy, with nicely designed partitions that provided a sense of privacy, making it comfortable for guests to enjoy their meals without feeling crowded. The food spread was truly impressive, with a wide variety of dishes that were fresh, authentic, and flavorful, all served piping hot. The highlight of our meal was the freshly steamed idlis, which were soft and fluffy. Our server, Sai, politely informed us about the batch, and it was a treat to enjoy them straight from the steamer. This attention to detail reminded me of my family's restaurant, where my dad would famously say, "Idlis are never sitting around waiting for customers; instead, our customers patiently wait for fresh idlis steamed to order!" It's a reminder to appreciate the value of slow, carefully prepared meals, resonating deeply with my father's motto at Chowpatti Vegetarian Restaurant - "what we cook at home for the four of us, is now being cooked for all of us in this dining room." The staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive, adding to the overall warmth of the evening. The food was exceptional, with standout dishes like the Masala Dosa served with three delicious chutneys that burst with authentic, bold flavors. What truly elevated the experience, however, was the personal touch from Chef Divakar and Chef Ramesh, who made rounds through the dining area to ensure everyone was enjoying their meal. They even took the time to share tips on how to properly enjoy their famous layered Parottas with Korma gravy, the authentic way – by generously smothering the Korma onto the Parottas and letting the rich flavors soak in before digging in, a delightful touch! We discovered that this is a chef-owned and operated restaurant, and it's clear that their passion for authentic South Indian cuisine shines through in every dish they serve. Based on the name, I assumed this was a kebab fast food (hot dog serving) small, cramped, smoky 1930's Greek restaurant. To my surprise, it is a spacious, well-ventilated, well-lit 2030's sit-down restaurant with absolutely delicious chicken, chick-peas (hummus) and meat-based protein meals, with generous portions of elegantly-prepared rice, salads, nice pita bread, ancient Christian food treasures straddling the fence between south-eastern European and middle-eastern and Asia Minor national palates. Հայկական, Assyrian, Greek, Lebanese Arabic and Persian cuisine-lovers would love the flavors.

They are a great place to rent for graduation parties or baptisms.

I ordered a yogurt-based drink (Karoun, yum), hummus appetizer, French fries (crispy and good as is or with ketchup), then got a delicious chicken and ground meat kebab which came with rice, salad, and several delicious garlic-based and spicy sauces. An hour later I am still energetic and not at all in a food coma.

Great for lunch or dinner, a place to bring family who is visiting from out of town to sate their protein appetite.

I have to visit again to try other dishes and a bunch of salads.

Don't let the location fool you. It is n ot a small place.

This is a roomy place to visit for couples, a family, or a single man or woman looking for a 100% healthy meal that will nourish you for the whole day.

I went on a Sunday after Church and was the only one dining in. The service was nice and generous. The Karoun Yogurt Drink provided a protein boost which is good for the stomach. My family loved it.

One of the most memorable dining experiences, and a top restaurant for serving a hearty, generous meal that tastes better than anything I or you have had in a long while. Take some home to finish it later or get carry out.

Worth every penny. Impressive quality of every food item. Hummus was rich in healthy olive oil. Շատ համով.

“The cookies are amazing! We tried the strawberry sugar and strawberry pop tart cookie (which comes warm)! They box the cookies up so nicely; each in their own little box! Each cookie lasted us two days! I wish they had seating to sit enjoy the cookies with a nice cup of bigger!“

“I was looking for a quick treat for my daughter and I and happen to come across this place on Google. The location was very easy to find and there was tons of parking.

Once inside, the atmosphere was really cozy and brightly lit. The seating is very limited however, when we arrived it was relatively empty. I believe we arrived before the evening rush.

My daughter ordered the Pina colada smoothie with pineapple popping boba and I ordered the dragon fruit tea with lychee popping boba. We also ordered the Oreo mini pancakes which, to our surprise, came with Nutella. We waited maybe 5 minutes before the entire order was ready so we grabbed our vittles and took a seat. Both beverages were delicious and refreshing and the mini pancakes were amazing! Sweet fluffy crispy and creamy little clouds of heaven! We'll definitely be returning soon. The mini pancakes are calling to us already. Lol“

“Had the wonderful opportunity to enjoy breakfast at this fun little Cafe. Right off of Rand rd by Tony's Market in Arlington heights. Had the Popeye Benedict so yummy perfectly poached eggs and fresh fruit so tasty. Definitely worth atleast one visit but you'll find that won't be enough.“

“I come here for their WTF burger and it never disappoints- best burger in town in my opinion. The man who usually takes my order is always so nice and happy! Plus the last time I came, I decided to add on fries after my burger arrived and a different gentleman gave them free of charge. Definitely recommend this place!“
