“Great beers (as usual). Tonight’s review is for the featured “food truck” experience the Counting Crow. Full disclosure, we have never tasted CC prior, although online it looks like they regularly service most of the top Independent craft brewers for some time throughout suburban Chicagoland. Given their excellent reviews, was excited to taste. Nope. Didn’t realize their posted 5-7 limited quantities meant exactly that. By 6:00 pm on a warm busy spring Friday evening, CC was already sold out of 2/3rds of their (flash heated on a table top griddle) menu of Pork belly tacos and Shrimp po’boys (on a Friday, in lent)? Which only left the many hungry to enjoy their signature chicken sandwich (original, medium spicy and extra spicy) served with chips. While the sourcing of their chicken breasts (decent size/texture meaty and fried well) was good, their temperature plated was lukewarm and underwhelming. Maybe a pop up on the patio isn’t the best way to promote your food, Idk. Not a fan and can’t recommend. Definitely won’t go out of my way to sample again“

“Let’s get one thing straight. People, no one is perfect. Every single restaurants have its own problems. I have been going to this restaurant for at least 3 years. This is one of my favorite of places. Never had one single issue that I can say is worthwhile giving them a bad review. Sometimes people do reviews based on one single visit. Try to give this people a little a break and maybe another chance, if you are still not happy go to along with whatever is going to make you happy or where you can maybe complaint and get a free meal.“

“Wow! We had the best time yesterday at Crave Cookie Lombard! My two children wanted to try it out so we went in. First impressions, it’s very clean and welcoming! We tried the Dubai strawberry cup, the cookie milk shake and a loaded soda! All were very delicious. It was the best loaded soda I’ve ever had! Our host the owner’s niece took the extra time to talk with us and told us a little bit about the family business. She even gave us free samples of warm chocolate chip cookies! They were so yummy! We will be supporting this lovely business and will be back!“

“Saw this place plenty of times on social media and finally gave it a try today. Ordered the Philly cheesesteak combo with fries and a drink; also got a 6 piece buffalo wings. Ended up getting 2 of their homemade ranches, which have this great dill flavor. Everything was absolutely delicious especially because it’s all cooked in beef tallow. The cheesesteak had a generous portion of steak and cheese on it, all served on this fresh seeded bread that had a delicious garlic bread taste. The buffalo wings were great too. Everything was cooked fresh but the star was that dill ranch. I put it on everything and it just amplified the flavors. Definitely going to be visiting again, highly recommended.“

“Dining Experience On Thursday, September 4, 2025 :👇🏽 We truly enjoyed our visit to Chennai Central .If you're a fan of South Indian cuisine, this is definitely a place worth visiting! We tried Chennai Central's Thursday Chaat & Dosa Buffet Launch, and it was an exceptional experience! The event drew a huge crowd, but the efficient service ensured that everyone had a great time. The ambiance of the dining room was also noteworthy, with nicely designed partitions that provided a sense of privacy, making it comfortable for guests to enjoy their meals without feeling crowded. The food spread was truly impressive, with a wide variety of dishes that were fresh, authentic, and flavorful, all served piping hot. The highlight of our meal was the freshly steamed idlis, which were soft and fluffy. Our server, Sai, politely informed us about the batch, and it was a treat to enjoy them straight from the steamer. This attention to detail reminded me of my family's restaurant, where my dad would famously say, "Idlis are never sitting around waiting for customers; instead, our customers patiently wait for fresh idlis steamed to order!" It's a reminder to appreciate the value of slow, carefully prepared meals, resonating deeply with my father's motto at Chowpatti Vegetarian Restaurant - "what we cook at home for the four of us, is now being cooked for all of us in this dining room." The ambiance was clean and inviting, with comfortable furniture that set the tone for a wonderful dining experience. The staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive, adding to the overall warmth of the evening. The food was exceptional, with standout dishes like the Masala Dosa served with three delicious chutneys that burst with authentic, bold flavors. What truly elevated the experience, however, was the personal touch from Chef Divakar and Chef Ramesh, who made rounds through the dining area to ensure everyone was enjoying their meal. They even took the time to share tips on how to properly enjoy their famous layered Parottas with Korma gravy, the authentic way – by generously smothering the Korma onto the Parottas and letting the rich flavors soak in before digging in, a delightful touch! We discovered that this is a chef-owned and operated restaurant, and it's clear that their passion for authentic South Indian cuisine shines through in every dish they serve. “Recently celebrated a 70th birthday with the D'Alexander family. What a great event. The staff could not have been nicer, and attentive. You only thought you might need something at the table and it would appear out of no where. The food was all home made and you could tell made from traditional old recipes and a lot of love thrown in. You feel like you are in a small cafe in Italy. “Got my car serviced at Six Star across the street so I decided to give this place a try. Although I had an hour ride home the food stayed very fresh and crispy. They hands down have the best corn dogs I’ve ever had. Dubokki was insanely good too. Owner was very nice and helpful with suggestions. Can’t wait to go back!“

The hot dogs are exactly the same cuz they're using Vienna skin on dogs so when you bite it you get that Crunch and that loud snap make you get all warm and fuzzy inside french fries are identical“

We even got a complimentary meal from the Executive Chef so he didn’t waste the plate after taking pictures of his new special. To say the food was amazing is an understatement. There were so many flavors and they all blended so dang well. They even had some unique beer option that we brought home. If your down in the Chicago area or willing to make the trip, it’s definitely worth it“
