“Delicious food! Especially nice on a cold day. I appreciated that there was even a vegetarian item on the menu (a huge potato pancake with mushroom gravy), which was delicious. We also shared some sauerkraut & mushroom and potato & cheese pierogies, which were also great. Also great was the mulled wine. They serve a lovely sourdough bread with an interesting spiced spread, but heads up to vegetarians -- the spread is bacon-based. But again, excellent bread. (As you can see, deliciousness was the theme.) The exterior of the restaurant is a little unassuming but the interior is like a cheerful cabin. Would definitely recommend.Vegetarian options: Babcia's pancake, which is a potato pancake with mushroom gravy, served with 3 types of cold salad. There are also meatless pierogies: sauerkraut & mushroom and potato & cheese (ask to be served without bacon garnish). There are also some salads on the menu which are vegetarian. I don't believe any of these dishes are vegan, though at least one of the salads could probably be made vegan if the cheese was left off.“
“When visiting a friend locally, they suggested we try the best ice cream around, and that sounded like a great challenge. There are many options for sitting outside in a park area, or on the balcony, or inside. When I opened the door and saw both the size of the menu and the many choices of ice cream I was overwhelmed. Staff is very friendly and offer help. I was able to taste 2 different kinds and look forward to next time I am in the area or have a strong craving for ice cream. “a mount prospect gem for sure! ice cream is generally all the same to me but this place is really special. the flavors are rich, creamy and delicious. i tried their choco taco and i'm in love now. you get the choice of toppings such as oreos, sprinkles, and can't remember the rest. it's super messy and the picture that i took of it in the box looks nothing special but it is a flavor bomb of deliciousness. the store is very small but plenty of outside seating. it seems to be run by very respectful and polite kids! definitely made for a special visit“

“The first time I ever went, I went with a few friends that recommended it to me. I usually don’t like milk tea, but kopa had a smoothie option that I absolutely loved. The boba was chewy but I liked it. When I went for the first time I got to write on the chalkboard and that was a happy experience for me being able to have someone read what I wrote and have a better day. Every time I get the chance to go, I go. This place gives me exceptional drinks that I absolutely love and good vibes whenever I go. “We hosted our baby shower at church street, and it was amazing. Everyone loved the atmosphere. We worked with Jace before, during, and after the event. The food was amazing, I did not receive a single complaint from my very picky family members, they all agreed it was amazing. The guest enjoyed the beer and we even did a growler with a beer of choice as one of diapers raffle gifts and it was the most popular one! I am so happy we hosted our event here, it went so smooth and hassle free. I will definitely be hosting events again here in the future!“

It seemed like all the families and friends were coming here after church.We were sitting next to a table that was celebrating the grandma's birthday who just turned into her 94 year old! It was so warm and sweet.Elly's Pancake House was for all ages, from kids, teenagers, young couples to 40s and elderly. This place is definitely being loved by everyone.I ordered Chicken and Bacon Waffle and my boyfriend ordered Skillet, as always, and he said Elly's Skillet is almost the Best Number 1 Skillet he've ever had. The Waffle was sooo great and their side salad was very huge. I mean, their waffle is really different than others - it's thick, crisp and delicious... Also it actually contains bacon in the waffle dough....Yum!We also had some pancakes on the side and it was good too.Only one minor thing that they can improve is their staffing. I think they need more servers, I didn't get a refill for my coffee during my entire meal. “I had been wanting to go to Kurimu since it's opening by the UIC campus. I had heard good things about it, and the kind of soft serve ice cream they serve reminded me of Japanese soft serve I had in Hong Kong and Singapore. After multiple openings, including the one in Schaumburg, I still didn't check it out until December 2023. My main reason to not go the Schaumburg (by the virtue of being closer to me) location was the price point. Their menu is good, but the items are on the pricey side. Upon reading a handful of reviews, the general consensus I got from them was that although it is pricey shop, the quality and taste of their offerings are definitely worth it to at least experience it once. On my visit, I ordered a scoop of Thai Ice Tea ice cream, a Strawberry Matcha Latte, and a Dalgona Coffee Milk Tea. The shop was inviting and clean. The menu options were laid out well, and the staff member working at that time was friendly and very helpful. You can place your order through a kiosk or give it to the staff member at the cash register. I took my deciding what I wanted as it was my first time at Kurimu. While I was there, the shop got busy, which is good, and therefore, ordering through the kiosk came in handy. The staff member was pretty fast. I didn't have to wait long to get my order. Also, the ice cream I ordered was not enough in stock, so the staff member informed me that they would give me another complimentary scoop of ice cream of the flavor of my choice. I also wanted to get soft-serve, but the flavors at the time were not of my interest. They rotate their soft-serve flavors every month, I was told. I liked what I had a lot. The Thai Ice Tea ice cream was so creamy and flavorful. Its flavor was very pronounced. The complimentary scoop I chose was that of Melon ice cream flavor, and it was delicious, as well. I also loved the Dalgona Coffee Milk Tea. I had not had it before.Kurimu was definitely a hit in my book. I liked everything I tried. Yes, it is on the pricey side, but it's well worth a visit as what is offered is of high quality and taste and is not just run of the mill stuff. Sure, I can not afford to go here as often as I would like to but a few visits here, and there would be a good way to check out the different offerings of Kurimu.“
