Customers appreciate the pet-friendly environment, even serving dogs a bowl of iced water. Chef Mariano prepares the dough early in the mornings to ensure artisan pizzas are ready for lunch and dinner.
Pizzeria Antica may offer the most authentic Neapolitan-style pizzas in the central Illinois area. The service could use some improvement, as customers have waited a long time before they could place an order or get their bill. However, the food is extremely good and felt really authentic, with a generous amount of toppings. Once ordered, the food came out fast. The atmosphere is great, and the food is outstanding, with quality ingredients and simple flavors. Customers have described it as the best Neapolitan pizza they've had outside of Italy, and they will 100% return to Pizzeria Antica next time they are in the area.
