The best subs and nachos outwest
Great food, very tasty. I'm a big guy - 220lbs - and the foot long sub for $12.30 including tax filled me right up.
It's in a gas station, so the atmosphere is a gas station.
Highly recommend if you're nearby to visit the conservatory.

I moved here from philly and have been looking for the closest thing to a hoagie you can get in Chicago. This is the closest I've come so far. I asked if the owner was from Philly and they said yes.My one critique is I asked for hot peeppers hoping for long hots and they put giardiniera, but that was partially my mistake.The rolls could be a bit better, they're very close to that philly/nj roll, and I would say closer than anything else I've found in chicago so far, but they're...read full review

Despite the crowds and occasional drama, the food is tasty and worth the 30-minute drive for the best subs in town. The freshly baked bread is a standout, wrapped in parchment paper and twine for a nice presentation, making it perfect for gatherings.
