Let’s just say I was surprised. It’s a bulletproof counter in a big busy gas station. But the young guy who made my sandwich was helpful and enthusiastic. The sandwich was so generous with ingredients I first thought they’d given me the wrong size. A little overboard on dressings but I like that. The price was great, a true bargain. Get it to go and go across the road to eat in Garfield Park.

I moved here from philly and have been looking for the closest thing to a hoagie you can get in Chicago. This is the closest I've come so far. I asked if the owner was from Philly and they said yes.My one critique is I asked for hot peeppers hoping for long hots and they put giardiniera, but that was partially my mistake. The rolls could be a bit better, they're very close to that philly/nj roll, and I would say closer than anything else I've found in chicago so far, but they're not quite the same yet.Other reviewers mentioned that they make the bread here in house. I asked if they did and they said no, so I'm not sure why the other reviewers said that.Overall a great hoagie in Chicago! Definitely recommend

I drive about 30 minutes to get the best subs in town! Top quality meats and cheeses, and freshly baked bread you can taste. I wrapped them in parchment paper and twine for that elevated look. Highly recommend! I ordered two trays for a gathering I hosted and it was a big

The best sub in Chicago! Perfect bread baked fresh in house, meat is sliced to order, everything is quality and built with care...the sandwiches are consistently excellent!! Also great value, best sandwich in the city.

Fresh baked bread, fresh, quality, deli meat sliced right in front of you, fresh ingredients... And the cheapest around especially for the quality and portion size. It's legit.

Vegetarian options: There's a veggie sub

Dietary restrictions: Simply tell them what they are and the accommodate. Pretty sure there are halal options.

Parking: It's a large gas station with plenty of parking even when busy

Wheelchair accessibility: Everything is on the ground level and security is helpful

This is a deli counter located inside a gas station which sells great sandwiches! My wife and I stayed in a nearby Airbnb and it was so good we ended up getting food here three days in a row. I actually live in Oklahoma and work in a high end deli, so I have mildly high standards, but I was pleased with all three of the sandwiches I tried from here. Subs were 5.99 for 6inch or 9.99 for 12 inch (you order at the gas station counter then pick up at the deli) and were large, well-topped with condiments, and tasty. We tried a buffalo turkey sub, a white turkey sub, and their Italian beef. Both 12 inch subs were large enough to be split in two and eaten later and the Italian beef is the typical messy hot sandwich you want when you visit Chicago. The men working the deli counter were extremely friendly, quick, and professional. If I lived in this area I would eat here often.Thank you for the kind words, great service, and delicious food!
