I ordered from Uber eats about a month ago go now, I’m only writing this review now bc I’ve been waiting for a $95 refund! Never received one even when a representative from Uber Eats called me on a recorded line told me that I would receive my refund of $95. Now the establishment had called me and told me they didn’t have the chicken I ordered, so I cancelled it not knowing I wouldn’t get a refund for the order, placed another one and same thing couldn’t fufill the order, so again it was cancelled. Found out shortly bc it was cancelled I wouldn’t get my refund of the two orders I placed. No food and lost out of money! If the establishment was making the food already and then I cancelled I understand if I was charged. But I communicated with the restaurant before I did! Now I’m not receiving my refund! I was very upset and the establishment worked with me to get my food out since I was charged twice for the food! A rep from uber eats called me and told me to Place another order! When I said I placed two orders previously and was charged, I asked the rep if I was getting a refund for the two cancelled orders, bc then why would I have them charge me again for a third order at the same place and not get my money back for the two other ones I placed before. I agreed and placed that third order and got charged! So now I have paid this place over $130! It’s been a month now! I have not gotten a call back from the establishment even though I’ve left my name and number twice! No call back! I called uber and asked for a supervisor to call me and nothing! Mind you after the establishment told me they would get my food out asap, the food came an hour ten minutes later! Cold mind you! And I paid for three orders!! No refund yet fir the previous two orders! Not my fault they did not have the food I ordered through the app! They didn’t tell me when they called me they need to cancel on there end! Instead the caller informed me the chicken I wanted they didn’t have! Now I was not aware that if I cancel the order I would get charged! Isn’t the responsibility of the restaurant to do that? This is ridiculous!!!!!! I still want my money back!!!!

I visited Chicago for about a week and tried plenty of restaurants in that time - from carts to michelin starred. I have to say that in my entire stay, the Art of Chicken takes the prize for my favorite meal.
They absolutely killed the pulled chicken sandwich and Mac n cheese (be sure to add their sauce to it)!!
While I was the only guest at the time, Mr. Christian behind the register made the effort to strike up convo and ensure that the hospitality was the icing on the cake.
I can't wait to visit again 🍻

I got a quarter each of both chicken options they offer. Both the El Jefe and Crazy Chico were juicy and cooked well though I preferred the first one because the smokiness came through stronger. However, the overall experience was a bit disappointing. I expected more than just okay chicken from the good reviews and how much they charge.

Atmosphere and food is a 10. Had the half chicken with home made mash. Chicken was cooked to perfection. Moist and very tasty. Will definatelygo there again.
This place is just pure joy! I take everyone i know here just for the vibe and they are blown away with the food!

Chicken is great but unfortunately it can take 2+ hours to get your order fulfilled. They only have one driver and the food always arrives cold. Very unfortunate because I love the food. I’ve tried delivery multiple times and every time I’m disappointed.

I feel like this is a hidden gem! Been living in the neighborhood for over 5 years now & just had an opportunity to stop by and glad I did. Service was hospitable, delivery was quick, & food was tasty. Will definitely stop back soon!
It was my first time checking this place out for lunch. Some of the best chicken I have had in a long time, I will be back again very soon!

Chicken sandwich lovers if you’re looking for a good unique take on a chicken sandwich look no further! As others have mentioned, it’s pulled chicken but I would say it’s like more grilled and chopped which was even better in my opinion. I also really liked the hot sauces there it’s worth eating it there for that reason alone. Staff was super chill to, my only complaint is that they don’t have more on their menu. Would love to see variations of the sandwich they offer. Overall worth checking out!
