Axum has become my absolute favorite Ethiopian restaurant in Chicago! The food is delicious (which is an understatement) and the chef/owner is delightfully kind. Their food is always fresh and their recipes are authentic. Axum features vegan and vegetarian options, as well as a full menu of yummy meat dishes. Axum also has a full bar and a selection of wine, so it’s the perfect choice for every occasion!
The best Ethiopian food I've had. Ras Dashen used to be here but closed down. I thought Ras Dashen was great but this is as good or even better than Ras Dashen. The portions are huge and everything tasted awesome and fresh. The owner is very friendly as well. I HIGHLY recommend this place.
