The table we sat at was very small barely had room for our plates and cups and food was well prepared but under seasoned pricing wasn't bad.

Did not eat here, however the Margherita was on point. Food looked very appealing.

We went for restaurant week and found it to be a very good deal. I wished they gave some bread with the escargot but it was still delicious. Very happy we tried this restaurant out...thanks for participating in Chicago's restaurant week!

Our group of 4 dined on Saturday night at 5:30 p.m. on Feb 7. The restaurant was not overly busy with many open tables. We dined using the Restaurant week $45/pp meal. Firstly, our waiter did not smile, was not friendly and made little to no effort to welcome us. Even the hostess seemed blah. Our drinks were good, but the food....the appetizers were okay but luke warm/cold like they were sitting around for awhile. Our salads (secord course) was good, but hard to mess up a salad. Our entrees specifically the steak frittes left a lot to be desired. The meat was rough, full of chewy or hard to chew fat and just not good. Lastly, our dessert, all of us chose the creme brule. None of them were hard on top, like someone in the kitchen just didn't really give a crap that it was basically a bowl full of cold sugary custard. We even pointed this out to our clearly unhappy waiter and he said, "yeah my other table said the same thing earlier." Ummm, why then was this not fixed??? Very poor showing especailly for the price for 4 people with one drink each at $272. We will never return to this restaurant.

Unfortunately did not have dinner as we stood for 35 minutes after our reservation time waiting to be seated and when we finally were, we are at a very small table that barley fit the two of us and never received water or greeting after sitting for 5+ minutes. Gave up and left and went to Italian village. The food looked great but poor reservation planning and under staffing made the experience not worth trying. A bunch of other parties were waiting a long time too and kept coming in with no tables ready.

Solid lunch experience for restaurant week. Great service, and good food. We tried the eagargot and the French onion soup. The soup was a bit difficult to eat because the cheese was thick and very gooey. But delicious. French dip was on point and a large serving with a side of crispy tasty fries. For dessert we had creme brulee. Quite a thin layer of custard with a slight lemon flavor and also a thin crust. This was about favorite dessert. Server was good, prompt with water, and checking in. Restrooms are quite a ways away, down an elevator and into the hotel. Seems like a business lunch/dinner place to take clients.

Awful service, preferential treatment to other guests, got our order wrong multiple times, highly disorganized and unprofessional staff.

Horrible, loud ambiance as well, with terrible seating. Every time someone opens the front door you get blasted with an arctic breeze.

The ambiance was pleasant, and the service was excellent. While the food was satisfactory, our brunch experience during Restaurant Week was limited by the menu's somewhat restricted options. I ultimately selected the avocado toast. I anticipate returning for dinner, as that menu appears to offer a more diverse and appealing selection.

It was my first time coming here with some friends for restaurant week! The service was amazing, from when we were greeted at the entrance, to the gentleman taking our plates after each course and refilling our waters, and Cesar was our server. We were so pleased with his hospitality, attention, and patience. He really made the experience so much more enjoyable and memorable. The food was also very tasty! Would definitely back come again to try other menu items.

We made a reservation about three weeks ago for a party of 5. I heard great things and wanted to try out Bandol and it just so happened to fall during Chicago restaurant week. Unfortunately, I was very let down.

I was surprised to be seated at a high top in the bar area as a reservation. We had a latecomer so we started with drinks which I will say are the reason I gave two stars - kudos to the bartender.

We ordered from the prix fixe menu and everything went downhill from there. Our salads came out before our starters. The crab cakes were just okay and escargot wasn’t bad, but also not great - my friend’s crab cakes were taken before she was finished with them as she went to the restroom. Once the table was cleared there was a very long gap between the first two courses and the main. All but one got steak and we all regretted not getting the poulet (other reason for redeeming two star because it was a very good plate). The pictures show what came out for medium rare and medium well steak frites… at this point we had been sitting for 1.5 hours and didn’t want to send to the back to elongate the stay. The dessert was a cold crème brûlée with a pretty soft top. Overall, will not be coming back and it’s a shame because I do like French food.

Service was kind but misinforming. The team didn’t seem to know much about the time restrictions on the restaurant week menu.
I came in early and saw it was brunch- understandable - my mistake for coming in early. I mentioned to the waiter that I was interested in the restaurant week lunch menu. He asked the chef if he could start it early chef said 2:00 was when they would be starting it.
So I waited in the hotel lobby for 30 mins went back in at 2:00 and was told the restaurant week menu for lunch starts at 3:00pm.
I opted to leave and not wait another hour as I needed to eat.
I was very excited for this and my parking and time was wasted .

Not worth the cost, and it felt like the staff didn't care about my table unfortunately

Stopped in with some friends (5 total) on nye around 930 or so as we saw it was open on the way out of the hotel.

Juan was amazing, he made our night and I hope we made a little of his! We ordered a round of drinks, fromage~ board and got a bottle of wine to bring up to the room. Everything was great and came out in a timely manner.

It seemed a little high stress for the staff though I originally had to wave Juan down for a round of drinks at the bar. Then he saw us sitting at a table and started serving us, thankfully. Found out through another server they were supposed to close earlier that night but stayed open a few extra hours w/ late notice. Didn’t really see a manager on the floor & there was no host to assist folks walking in. I hope everyone was well taken care of, thank you to the staff that stayed!

We visited Bandol for lunch while in town for work. It was reasonably busy on a weekday at noon but we were able to sit immediately without a reservation.

The waiter was prompt and friendly and special requests were adhered to.

I had the burger and it was great! Although I'd requested it to be cooked thoroughly/no pink inside, it was nonetheless very juicy. Basically greasy but in a good way. Fries also very good - nice and crispy.

Definitely recommend!
