I was not a huge fan. I ordered the egg sandwich and it seemed... fine? Maybe I ordered poorly as my companion seemed more satisfied. But the egg sandwich itself felt pretty standard. The saving grace is the potatoes. They as so tasty and crispy with the best flavor!
Service is also good, no complaints there.

Though the restaurant had a cute atmosphere, it was not clean… I gave this place two different tries, one breakfast and one dinner, both dine-in and takeout, and it just wasn’t good. The staff was attentive and kind, but the food was not up to par for the prices they were asking. I got mussels and a lobster roll, then an egg’s Benedict with breakfast potatoes, and everything was kind of bland and just not fresh feeling.

It’s worth the wait for the oysters. They actually send scuba divers to lake Michigan to get them. If they don’t, I don’t understand why it took so long.

The breakfast provided is of satisfactory quality. The menu offers a variety of options, including avocado toast, Mediterranean breakfast, and Bandol breakfast. While the service may be inconsistent, it is important to maintain a professional demeanor and address any concerns with the appropriate personnel.

The place has good food, but due to its prices, location and location, it should have better service, they are too slow, we asked for an appetizer and they brought it when they already brought the main dishes, we asked for more bread for the appetizer that was not an appetizer and we they charged 5 usd

The brunch was cancelled at the rooftop since it was drizzling on a Sunday morning. We opted to try out this aesthetically great restaurant. I ordered Mahi mahi sandwich and it failed miserably. My mouth was numb from it being too salty. Got canceled from the bill but it’s not a cheap diner to not be attentive to the cooking like that. Very disappointed. I took pics of the pretty place but not coming back for the food at all.

I realize many restaurants are shortstaffed. I have brought clients here in the past for lunch and it was always terrific. The food was good and the value was there, however, the music was way too loud for people in the restaurant. We made a later reservation, thinking it will be a little bit quieter. Our server was a sweetheart, we got our before the salads. I hope it can turn around because the atmosphere is nice and the food, wine and cocktails are good value
I made this reservation for dinner before attending a Broadway in Chicago play and chose Bandol for its close proximity to the theater. My reservation for the dining room was changed to the roof top bar without any notice. We expected a full fine dining menu and instead we were limited to a small happy hour menu and forced to sit at an uncomfortable high boy table. At the time we arrived at Bandol, it was too late to make a reservation at another restaurant near the theater. There was no reason not to notify me of the change and the dinner was ruined by being limited to a very small happy hour menu.
It was a horrible brunch experience. They're understaffed in waiters and inside the kitchen. Waited 45 min and only one entree was brought out and it did not taste good. Eventually we gave up and left before we finished eating. That happened to all the table there at the time, not just us.
Per their website, this is a French restaurant - and it used to be. Unfortunately, they have changed their menu, and it is now your average American/Mediterranean restaurant. Burgers, salads, and similar items is all that they have on the menu. The food is fine, but nothing special. It has gone from being a slightly different, nice lunch option to be just your average, to run of the mill.
