Stopped here because it was the only restaurant opened nearby and the decor caught my eye from the outside.I had the best breakfast potatoes here. Perfectly cooked - soft on the inside and cooked with the right amount of oil on the outside for that crispiness, and mixed with the charred onions. I’d come back here just for the potatoes.Too bad the rest of the food was just ok.I ordered the Eggs Benedict, and the eggs were way overcooked that they were more like hard boiled eggs. I really needed a running yolk especially since the hollandaise sauce was not enough and underwhelming. However, I liked the sandwich portion. French toast could’ve been better if it wasn’t soggy in the middle.Service was ok. Understaffed (not their fault), but I got my food pretty quickly.

Food & service was good. Had the lemon lavender French toast. Only complaint is that the “fresh squeezed orange juice” is not fresh squeezed and basically tastes like Tropicana so I suggest avoiding that.

Went in for happy hour at 5:45 pm. Was not approached by wait staff until 6:15 pm to be told they are out of oysters.

Quite a nice spot, nice decor and generally pleasant. The staff, whilst trying to do their best, were massively understaffed and service unsurprisingly sufferers badly. We were looking to eat but after 45 mins waiting to order, we just bailed to a different spot. Might give it another try some other time to see if it got better

My son treated me to lunch and I met him at the restaurant in downtown Chicago. The atmosphere, food and service were nice. The one thing I didn’t like was the location of restroom.(2ndfloor) but over all..this place is pretty good!!

The food was mediocre. Paella tasted as if it had been precooked and defrosted before serving - lukewarm and very salty. We ordered the smoked trout dip, but what we received was a smoked salmon dip; it was tasty but not what we ordered. Potatas bravas were covered in sauce and soggy. Cauliflower augratin was perfect. The coffee was cold. The service was excellent.

I enjoy Bandol Med, have dined there on 4 ocassions over last six months. I loweref the stars because with each return the music background has moved to forground. It might amuse the staff but its irretatating if you are trying to chat.

I went to Bandol yesterday with a guest. Since it was a holiday weekend I expected to wait. After about an hour we got a table. We were surprised to not see a server for 30 minutes after that and we were only given water and an opportunity to order after physically waving someone down. The restaurant seemed disorganized with multiple servers responding to each table and tables getting missed completely. We ate quickly and immediately asked for a check since we knew we were unlikely to see a server again. The hostess actually asked us how things were and we let her know about the waits and having to wave down a server. Her response to the feedback was disappointing. It was disappointing overall because the food was decent and under different circumstances we probably would have tried their other locations too.

Went rather late after arriving in Chicago Friday night. Service non-existent, lots of workers taking care of cleaning utencils , but one waitress and no one to take our order. After over an hour waiting for hommus appetizers left without any food at all. Never step in there again.

We arrived there two hours before closing and I had to wait 30 minutes just to get my order. I waited another 45 minutes before I just left. The service was awful and I had to get up in order to get a menu. I never experienced this in my life. It tells you who wants to make money and who doesn't.

Had breakfast here three mornings in a row as a part of my stay at Hyatt Centric the Loop.Plenty of seating in the earlier mornings and the portion sizes were excellent. I tried three different selections and all three were fantastic.Even though the cost of breakfast was included in my stay, this is a restaurant where I wouldn't have minded paying out of pocket.

This was my second time at Bandol and just like the first time, I was not disappointed! The food was delicious! The escargot was cooked perfectly and so tender! The oysters are so delicious. I would go back just for the oysters! Drinks were great and the crème brûlée at the end was the icing on the cake! I can't wait to go again!

Not firing on all cylinders with their pre-theater menu. Service was very slow, and we had to flag down server to get our dessert and check in order to make the 7:30 curtain time -- when you offer a pre-theater package you should know how to pace the food to make sure diners have time to get to the theater! Plus, the menu promises gelato for dessert, but instead we were served sherbet that was too icy and not at all what we expected: we should have been informed of the substitution. Not eager to return.
