One of the few places I come back to on Navy Pier. Like the vibe. Not the usual mexican/southwest fare...some interesting twists. Fish centric.

We got seated, but no one bothered to acknowledge me and my partner, all the while three tables around us got serviced multiple times. I understand being busy, I've worked food and retail for many years, but that was just ignorant.

Had a great experience enjoying the vibrant atmosphere even if the tables are packed a little close. The food was absolutely amazing makes me want to try everything on the menu. As long as Tony isn’t there serving making me extremely uncomfortable when I hit skip tip on the card machine for him to proceed saying you hit skip and immediately asked if I had cash for the tip without a second thought. Which I feel was disrespectful, rude and unprofessional. Definitely would’ve been back if it wasn’t for the service experience.

We recently had lunch at Bar Sol on Navy Pier with my family, and while the view was a standout, the overall experience fell short. The food quality was generally disappointing. We ordered a variety of items – Cobb salad, mac and cheese, kids’ quesadillas, and wings – but the dishes were only okay at best. Portions were “gaming-sized” but lacked the quality to back them up. If you’re looking for a scenic spot on the Pier, Bar Sol has a great location, but if food quality is a priority, there are likely better options nearby.

Food was good but we felt pressured with a high speed of service, starter and main course coming pretty much at the same time. Long waits for several items even if the restaurant was not too busy. Very expensive for what we had at $200. To cap it off they don't serve coffee after dinner "that's only for breakfast" according to waiter

Overpriced, poor food quality and dirty restaurant. Several chairs had cobwebs and one glass had hardened stain. Eggs Benedict was so bad, dry, and tasted rancid oil, we couldn’t finish it.
We sat down to eat here after partially reviewing the menu so we could sit outside on the pier. Unfortunately the menu is almost exclusively fish-y dishes. Which is great if that’s what you’re looking for, however our entire party was not. It was also extremely pricey with veryyy loud music. We ended up leaving before ordering. Staff was kind, just not the place for us as a family meal- more of a higher end date, business, celebration occasion.
Good to-go stand with a nice view of the city.
Small selection of freshly tapped beer (other brands in cans) and fresh frozen daiquiris.

The last couple of days service has been kinda iffy here and there everywhere I have been and I was so beyond surprised at how helpful and kind the male bartender was and helped me get seated where I wanted. I mediator felt welcome and satisfied. My server was named Raquel and she was so upbeat, kind, and helpful for any questions I had on and off the menu. My meal was the best thing I’ve had this year at least. I got the lobster roll with garlic Parmesan fries. The fries and sauce alone were DELISH, as for the lobster roll it was absolutely divine. From the somewhat Texas toast style bread with the perfect amount of butter and crispiness to soft ratio, to the sweet yet savory tang of the sauce within it all, to the way I could tell the lobster was actual lobster and high quality at that. I’m going to get the churros next and cannot wait to see how amazing those will be. Definitely recommend here and cannot wait to come back when I’m in the area again.

We had the chef special seafood appetizer and it was amazing! Our entrees were also delicious and very timely. Our waitress Stephanie went above and beyond and made our experience extra special!

Our server was unprofessional and so unfriendly to the point of being rude. She seemed incredibly annoyed with every question, request, and interaction. She verbally asked us to add a tip and stood over our table watching us use the card machine. She paid more attention hovering over the tipping than she did the entire time serving us. I've never been made to feel so uncomfortable at a restaurant before, and we regret being pressured to tip her so much more than she deserved for how she treated us.
Food quality was fine but lacking for the high price tag. Great views from the outdoor seating.
