Basant is our go-to when we want to introduce friends and family to a great restaurant. Dependably tasty and interesting food in an inviting atmosphere. Everyone we've brought has loved it!

I'm from London where we are spoilt by great Indian food. In my opinion there are very few good Indian restaurants in Chicago so I am thrilled to have found Bassant. Truly, beautiful, tasty dishes with levels of flavor which are completely delicious. Service is great and they have a good bar if you like fancy cocktails. This is our go to for Indian food, highly recommend

would probably eat there too much if the prices were lower, probably the best restaurant in North Center especially if you like lamb and better cocktails than The Victor Bar or G&
